Went in with my daughter tonight , older lady waitress very friendly and welcoming , unfortunately that's were good review stops . My daughter ordered hallomi burger I ordered chicken ceaser salad with Anchovies advacdo, egg, bread and buttered potatoes well firstly in my book a ceaser salad is served with parmasan cheese on top nope none of that and there was none of that nor was there any Anchovies egg or bread so I basically paid for a bowl.of leaves bit of dressing 2 tiny pieces of chicken and a few croutons, my daughter hallomi burger was clap cols when it was served ,and fries were very overcooked, I'm not one for confrontation, so didn't say anything , but sorry this is far from the high quality restaurant we were promised when the olive tree was taken over , we didn't have an dessert as felt we had spent enough on a very low quality meal

Having not been here for year, it was good to go back. The menu was small but freshly cooked, very tasty and we'll presented. Obvs attention paid to seasoning and quality ingredients. Service was a little slow but friendly and we weren't in a rush so no big deal for us. Very pleasant feel to the place. Crab arancini and brownie dessert were our top faves!

This was our third visit under the new management. We were regulars in the past and hope to continue to be. The first visit was on a Sunday and close to their opening. There were clearly teething problems. We went back on a week night, the menu is quite limited and we were underwhelmed with the platter. There needed to be some sides available to order with it. The children’s meal was very good. We decided to give it another go today. Steve was cooking and it felt like a different restaurant. Service was very good, food was lovely and it felt like it was all coming together. If it continues on this path would highly recommend.

No one really seemed to know what they were doing, lots of staff (who were friendly), but just walking about. We were the first table in for Sunday lunch, waited about 30 minutes for food and when it arrived only the stuffing and cauliflower cheese were hot everything else was barely warm. Heard other table complaining about same thing and saw the chef say they were lying. Visited the toilet and was confronted with a filthy toilet brush and the cheapest toilet paper imaginable. If they're aiming high end they've missed the mark by a mile.

Staff were lovely . Found the menu a little sparce Considering there were only 4 people eating including me and my partner meal took quite a long time to come out. But do realise they have only been open a few days so hopefully our next visit will be a better experience . See you soon

Booked a table for 4 people on Wednesday for Sunday lunch on arrival we were told they had run out of roast potatoes so would be a wait we said that was fine we sat patiently to then be told they had no Roast pork only enough Beef for 1 person we were offered pie for our roast dinner which we politely refusedOur table had been booked days in advance luckily we managed to get a table at The Bluebell pub across the road which I would highly recommendAs for The Olive Tree yes looks nice but very badly run!!Very disappointed!!!!!

Recommend and well worth a visit. Was a bit dubious about visiting after some of the reviews but decided to try out the olive tree as we are staying on alder park. We chose the burger and home made curry. Staff attentive, great customer service. Food was delicious. Shame it’s our last night otherwise we would have been back again. The outside terrace was a lovely place to relax and unwind. Visited at 6pm, restaurant was nice and quiet.

Bang average food at elevated prices. If you're looking to celebrate a special occasion and are looking for a nice venue and good food. This place will provide the venue, but alas not the food. I would say mostly Pre-packed food cooked and served up as 'home made'Average at best.
