Without a doubt one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. After hearing about their sausages rolls online, I rang up to find out if they were open (I didn’t realise they weren’t a shop anymore), Charlie told me they don’t sell them anymore but said he would make us some and to pop by. Such a kind gesture that you don’t see very often these days. Can easily say they were the best sausage rolls we’ve ever had and it was one of our highlights during our trip to Norwich.

We had a magical tasty delicious amazing evening at Hodson and Co dining experience. The food, the wine, the ambience,the detail , the chef, and all the different textures and orchestra of food tastes was mind blowing. What a great evening and Aylsham is lucky to have this within. Wow.

We had a reservation for tonight, but nobody turned up. The restaurant was in darkness even though we went back several times and called 3 times but had to leave a message to which we have not had a response. We will not be coming back.

This was our third visit to Hodson & Co. Each time a different menu is provided. No need to ponder over menus - you will have your taste buds tickled with each course chosen by Charlie. For each course Charlie offers explanation on how each item was prepared and cooked. Every course is accompanied with a glass of wine, which Charlie once again informs why it was chosen to accompany that course. Charlie is an excellent host and chef and greets you as a friend rather than a customer. Would recommend booking a table for that special occasion, or just because....

First time I have ever given a one star review. Despite getting to the shop at 3:45 on a Saturday, the man (who was in the shop and actually called us to come in!) refused to sell us any cheese because a.) He “hardly had any left” (I can’t express here how many wheels of cheese were visible in the counter) and b.) he’d closed down his till. So disappointing as we love to support small businesses but with that attitude we had no option but to head to a supermarket.

Amazing store with friendly staff. They're spices are amazing, and you can reuse your tub and get money off when you return! This will be a shop of choice for gifts and Christmas!

Nice shop but Unfortunately the man doesn’t seem too interested in selling cheese, shame as I was going to buy 3 hampers, waited 30 minutes too as sign on door said back in 5 minutes. Only to be told he couldn’t do them !!! Poor service I’m afraid.
