Really lovely shop and welcoming staff. The chocolate is beautifully packaged, as always, and the adjoining cafe is cute and serves delicious hot chocolate. Everything is a bit pricey but it's nice for buying gifts or treating yourself.They do a student discount (10% off) and have a loyalty card which is worth getting if you buy gifts here often.

During my recent trip to Norwich, I couldn't resist indulging in their exceptional winter hot chocolate at the Chantry Place location. A definite must-visit, especially on chilly New Year days. Poorly organised shop very dark and vegan options not clear.Helpful staff helped me exchange the milk version for my mum's vegan christmas chocolates thanks so much xxVegetarian options: Hard to find vegan chocolates unless you skim the labels. Kinda depressing how there are only two vegan items that seem like a decent present.

I was looking forward to having a hot drink with a friend at Hotel Chocolat but it’s odd. The seating area isn’t inviting, the girls behind the counter didn’t really acknowledge me when I walked in even though I said ‘hi’.There were several dirty tables that hadn’t been cleared and the girls behind the counter were just chatting.When our drinks were ready they just shouted our order.My mocha was OK, the flavour of the coffee was bland and the dark chocolate flavour non-existent. It was £4.45 for a regular which is overpriced.My friend loved her hot chocolate but it was over filled and leaked cream.There are so many excellent independent coffee shops in Norwich - I would rather give them my money not MARS.

I was served my Lindsay and my experience was great . I was having a bad day but Lindsay was so kind and cheery that she made my day much better ! Would really recommend coming to this branch service is great and food is also great !

Had a lovely Mocca and hot chocolate drink in there cafe we also purchased some chocolate mixer for our newly purchased velvertiser, staff were friendly and helpful.
What lovely people. The café staff at the Norwich shop are first class. Very friendly, helpful and sincere. I was feeling a bit under the weather when I visited today and just wanted a hot milk. Even though this isn't on the menu they were able to accommodate my request. I left feeling much better than when I walked in. Thank you and well done.

Ordered hot chocolate with thick chocolate cream on top. After sitting down to drink it, I realised it was iced chocolate shake. Once I realised this, I returned it to the counter to tell the female server who has worked there for some time, she didn't offer to change it, and said they do hot and cold versiobs. She then turned her back on me to talk to a colleague, surprised I waited for a short time then left - will never return to store.The single drink was priced at £4.95 so obviously, my expectations were quite rightly high.
