Unhelpful, didnt eat there everything we asked for they said wasnt on, then said we would have to leave table by 2 as another booked in. We were there for a nice Sunday lunch having travelled from London to visit family. We went somewhere else

Absolutely brilliant, excellent food, great service and a nice convenient location. It's been a while since we have been somewhere this good, no really. In a sea of chain pubs offering cheap mediocre food this is a gem, go on treat yourself you won't regret it and we for sure will be back.Food & drinks: The menu is limited but excellent. Don't expect burgers and pizzas. The Asian pork belly starter, we could eat a pile of it, so good. Then we had the pie, the mussels and the chicken and they were all excellent. But if you like a good pie, and who doesn't, the beef shin pie I had was really outstanding.

Cosy and friendly historic pub by a picturesque river bank.
Again another superb experience at the Bawburgh Kings Head , staff very helpful and welcoming and the food exceptional with all of the food locally sourced and freshly cooked to order ,had the pie of the day and must say one of the best I've ever had ,well done to all the staff and a big thank you to the chef's.

I should firstly say that the service was FANTASTIC. However, I'm loathe to give this pretentious place any more than the one star that the food deserved. Vastly overpriced and by no means better than the fare one might get from a chain restaurant.Food & drinks: One word: overpriced.
