Visited twice whilst on a weeks holiday in Docking. We arrived late evening at our cottage on the Saturday and they were closed, but they opened up and let me have my fish and chips. The second visit was even better, perfectly cooked fish and chips and very generous portions. Recommended, but be aware that they now shut at 8pm.

Title: Poor Quality and Unfriendly Service at Docking Fish BarMy recent visit to Docking Fish Bar was incredibly disappointing. The staff were rude and unhelpful, making the experience unpleasant from the start. The quality of the food was well below standard, with tasty fish and greasy lackluster chips that certainly didn't justify the astronomical prices. To top it off, the absence of even a slice of lemon for the fish was simply unacceptable. Overall, I would not recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a decent fish and chip experience.

We happened to be staying close to Docking Fish Bar so thought we'd give it a try. It looks enticing from the outside, with smartly dressed staff, friendly enough and with a regular passing trade by the looks of things. Sorry to say, whilst we were all hungry & ate the lot, the cod was greasy (cheap thin cut with skin on) and chips sub-par.

Great fresh haddock with crisp batter. Decent portions, we ate it all, no excess chips given to pad out the meal and be thrown away. Owner/fryer smiled and thanked me for the order. Visited twice in our week here. Recommended.

I visited this fish and chip shop recently and being used to fantastic fish and chips in our home village I couldn't have been more disappointed. It was over-priced, the fish was tasteless and tiny under all the greasy batter, the quantity of chips was negligible, and it was all barely lukewarm. The staff looked and behaved like they were forced to be there and should I ever be in the area again I will give this place a massive swerve.

We have visited twice during our week’s stay in the area and have been very pleased both times. The haddock was fresh and the batter light and crispy. The portions were just about right, how many times have you had a portion of fish that looked huge but turned out to be mostly batter, and how many times have you thrown chips away because the shop have padded out the meal to give the impression of good value. We ate everything that was served, no waste and good value for money. Service - the owner/fryer smiled and thanked me for the order, the young staff were efficient without being ‘have a nice day’ types. A good local business, you should support them

Used to come here a few years ago. It was lovely then. Has changed hands and so disappointed today. Priced about the same as everywhere around here but it’s very poor value now compared with other nearby shops in Fakenham. The cod was very thin and small, wasn’t convinced it was cod. The batter was anaemic and soggy, chips were okayish. Unpleasant aftertaste. Best give it a miss I am afraid. Worst we have had in a while.

It's a fish and chip shop. Small but food was great ?. Friendliness of staff a 4. Maybe because it was late, but something to work on. Otherwise not bad, give it a go when your in the area.

Use to be a great fish and chip bar. But over the last two or three years. But changed now. Not for the better. Last year the chips were bits and seemed not freshly cooked. But re heated and dry. This visit The chips tasted earthy, we were served up a small amount of chips in a shallow box at the cost of £2.75 for this portion of chips. Twice visited will not give it another try.?

Lovely fish and chip shop! Very busy on a Friday evening but well worth the wait. Friendly staff and had everything in stock that we asked for. Thanks for a lovely meal!

Very good takeaway meals. Cooked quickly and while we waited so it was fresh and hot. In different service but not rude just not openly friendly but not a problem as service was quick and efficient.

Good fish & chips! The fish was super tasty and perfectly cooked, the chips were a little greasy and salty for my liking but overall really nice.

A friendly shop where we bought our tea. Well cooked chips, tasty fish and all the accompaniments needed.

Food was good quality with fish fresh but it wasn't such good value. Given that the place is quite small you would think overheads would be low and thus be a good value place. Unfortunately not so the redeeming feature is the fish was fresh, chips were also not bad.Parking: Parking on roadside outside the premises

Need to clean out your friers more regularly… dreadful fish and chips, all we could taste was stale cooking oil, won’t be returning
