A massive thank you to all the staff at Jack’s for topping off my daughters 11th birthday. Staff were all welcoming & fantastic. Food was delicious! A special mention to Lynne who was amazing & making sure everyone was fed, watered & happy - even going out of her way to make sure my daughter received her birthday cake with her lovely singing!! A Mother's Day treat, a group of 8, staff were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Food was all very good, all in all, recommended for good Sunday dinner fare in decent surroundings. Just watch out for the puddles in the muddy car park.

Had a great time, well looked after. Great to have gluten free cauliflower cheese with my roast.One thing that could improve the gluten free roast experience is to have cornflower made Yorkshire pudding and more varied dessert options.The beef, roast potatoes and vegetables were gorgeous.

Just been for breakfast ( mothers Day). It was very busy. I expected the service to struggle, but I was wrong. The service was fantastic. Well done to the whole team ?Parking: Car park is a bit uneven but firm and does have a few puddles when it's raining.Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome.

My first time at the restaurant and was very impressed! The roast dinner was delicious and the apple crumble and custard was the best! The staff couldn't of been any more friendly and helpful! It was a lovely birthday meal and 100% will be coming back soon

Been to Jacks on numerous occasions over the last 3 years, todays visit was not planned and hadn’t booked a table (in my mind I was thinking this particular Saturday just after New Year it would be pretty quiet) Well I certainly got that wrong, on arrival I struggled to find a parking space, and was a little concerned that we might not get a table, thankfully they found us a table. As ever the food was top drawer, piping hot, great quality, and as always, brilliantly served by the great team that Jack has recruited. Jack himself as usual was a terrific host checking with every table that all was good, this place is an absolute gem, we travel 25 miles from Soham to visit and it’s worth every bit of the journey. Looking forward to our next visit for my Birthday in 2 weeks time

Today my husband and I visited Jack's for the Christmas Dinner. We only waited at the bar for less than 5 mins before being seated. The restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was festive. There were families, couples and groups all having a good time. The food did not take long to arrive and the portions were large. We both had the turkey parcel. This did not disappoint as the turkey slices were thick and moist. The sprouts were served on a skewer with pigs in blankets. The veg was cooked nicely and very tasty . My husband had the apple strudel and I had the lemon and raspberry possett. This really was a great dessert as it cleansed the pallet. The service was very good and we felt welcome there. It was such a nice experience and the food was wonderful that we have already booked for next Christmas.

Myself and my partner went Saturday 9th of December as an early birthday present for my partner. We go every year for his birthday. Food is absolutely amazing. Delicious. Fantastic portions. Jack and staff cannot do enough for you. Checking if you need more drinks or anything else. Very attentive. Very competent. Please please please pay this place a visit 10/10 all the time

We had our daughters surprise 30th meal at Jacks and as usual nothing is to much trouble, food is great, staff are lovely. Jack went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. Thanks so much ???

I cannot tell you a single place where I have received service like at Jacks, felt welcomed, valued, looked after… just a wonderful experience. As a rule I expect to be disappointed having a roast out, I usually end up feeling I could have done better at home at less cost; but Jacks is the one place I actually felt the opposite - the food was so good! And other meals out we’ve had have been just as good - chilli jam on the burger, just lifted it to the next level. And visiting with young children, nothing was too much hassle - on a previous visit, we asked for a portion of mash for our infant as her meal, no problem at all, and the chefs nearby were chatting with us and being so caring. Knowing that it’s family friendly means so much to us. We came last year for a birthday meal for our daughter - she still talks about how THE Jack came to wish her a happy birthday. Things like that mean so much and add so much value. I can’t recommend enough

Amazing for lunch but give this place a miss for dinner…. It took over 1 hour for food to arrive ( table of 8 and 4 kids were kicking off because they were hungry). It always has lots of big tables which is fine ( and good for them!) but they don’t seem to be able to time them well during dinner service. Our friend had to send his food back as chicken burger wasn’t cooked in the middle. As standard, the food is usually good, servers are nice enough and portions are decent but I don’t want to spend over 2 hours to have dinner with a 4 and 7 year old… If you’re not in a hurry then I would recommend, but if you have young children or don’t want a leisurely experience then maybe consider other options.
