“Used this take away for a few year , since been taken over got a bit pricy, the rice has been over cooked for the last 4 visits (Stodgy ) , must be batch cooked along with the chips and re heated , as they are getting tough so will need to find a decent Chinese takeaway over Thirsk way that'll get our weekly orders, sometimes twice a week ! Decent staff, just a shame about the decline of the food.”

“Honestly don’t understand the bad reviews. Been using this chippy for years. Can’t fault it, nice size portions, my 2nd favourite chippy, with no 1 being Hadleys in Whitby. Never had any issues with the quality of the food. Guessing some people prefer their chips cooked in certain oils. Fish was so fresh and well cooked. Chips were delicious.
