Fabulously fresh haddock cooked to order. Chips lovely and crisp on outside and soft and fluffy on inside. Mushy peas nice and tasty. No problem with service. Pleasant and friendly .

Just moved here so first timers. Perfectly cooked, not greasy and served with a smile. What more could you ask for ?

Went Friday lunchtime, café empty which lowered expectations but remained open-minded. Fish and chips tasted better than they looked but nothing remarkable. The mushy peas looked grey and weren't nice at all. The lady serving may as well have been mute - I asked if I needed to order sauces or whether they were at the table and she just didn't respond. Food served quickly but we did have to wait a while as no one was there to take our order. Wouldn't go back.

Absolutely dreadful, Ordered food with no one waiting told to wait 15 mins, when food was finally ready 2 x battered sausages 1 x fishcake 2 x battered haddock 1 x large chips, I noticed the large chips were tiny so had to order a small portion as well, all items were individually wrapped and placed on counter, so had to ask for a bag as it was clear to see I couldn't carry it all loose! Charged 10p and just shoved a bag at me without putting the items in, so I had to do it, the girl had absolutely no people skills at all, when we got to where we were staying and dished up the food the battered sausages had hardly any batter the fishcake was rock-hard, and the battered haddock and chips were all soggy the fish had no flavour, this was the worst fish and chips I've ever had and paid £26 for the privilege!!!

I’d give the cod 5 out of 5, crispy, golden batter and white flaky fish, cooked perfectly. Chips were a little pale for me. Lady let me pick the fish I wanted as I like mine extra crispy!

Worst fish and chips we have ever had today. Batter and chips were very poor. Fish had been frozen and seen better days. Young girl who served needs to go to charm school.

A group of 13 of us visited for Chippy Tea while camping as a break from cooking. All the food was freshly prepared and so nice sat round our Fire Pit back at The Campsite. Thank you!

When the fish and chips were wrapped up. I thought l had only been given chips. Opened them up to see tiny piece of fish. Will not waste my money going here again. If they think a sprat for fish is acceptable. They need to see what decent chip shops provide. Very Expensive for what you get.

The fish and chips were ok. The customer service was appalling. The ‘girl’ who took the payment from my son was non verbal, having to be asked twice, if they would accept cash, she literally grunted. My son and I moved out of the way of the door and other customers only to be snapped at by the man who was frying up the food, to stand down there and pointed to the place we had come from.We both came out of the place and just laughed at what we had just experienced. Never again. Would not recommend it unless you are desperately hungry.

I had been looking forward to trying the Cod and Chips given the positive reviews. I was very disappointed! The fish was very small which I get everything has become more expensive. However the fish didn't taste very fresh, it was VERY fishy tasting and chips were overly greasy! I had 1 bite of the fish and couldn't touch it anymore.Sadly the staff who served me were not very welcoming, didn't say hello and just glared the whole time. As someone who despises being told to smile constantly, it is not something I would ever say to someone but equally I do not expect to be made to feel unwelcome by being glared at!

There's better out there I won't lie, did the job though and good prices. Unfortunately the chips were a bit dry and the sauces underwhelming but I'd probably go back if I fancied a chippy so
