Called at the mere cafe with some biker friends for a cuppa stop. We got an assortment of drinks from Bovril ( £2.50 ) to chocohorlicks ( £4.00 ). It was ok but for the price it needed to be amazing . Same for the food . Chips £2.70 and Cheesy chips £4.50. Cheese Burger £4.50 so I tried the cheese burger with onions and BBQ sauce . Wish I hadn't . I had to squint to see the sauce among the pile of charcoal ... sorry onions. So BBQ sauce was reapplied to hide the burnt taste mixed in with the bit of cheese on it. We had a chill out . Used the loo and parted ways. Lovely area around the mere with loads of wildlife but if your on a bike the car park is awful with the gravel so beware . I will stick to the prices at the cafe on top of the mount . At least it's edible.

Let’s get it straight, if you are coming here just to sit in your caravan all day then it’s awesome, If you want to venture outside, DO NOT COME HERE. The facilities on site are dire, one of the worst arcades I’ve been to, the food in the bar is terrible, and your in the middle of no where with withernsea being the only option if you don’t want to travel far. The caravan/lodge we stayed in was the only saving grace, oh, and withernsea has a decent takeaway, I’d massively advice paying an extra 100 quid and looking further up the east coast

I have been to many sites around the UK and they didnt have the passion to entertain your children in the activity shop or swimming pool like these guys did!! I would like to say a massive thankyou to Freya she was excellent from day 1 enthusiastic loving and always happy to get my little girl involved in activities we got the pleasure of interacting with abby for 1 day n she also was fantastic!!! Jess from the pool and another young guy was absolutely amazing at the fun inflatable swim!! my girl was very nervous about joining in so they all took it upon themselves and got in the pool and made my girls experience a very happy 1!!! Big shout out to you guys you was amazing and I hope.to see you again soon. Also the lady in the shop sue was lovely I couldn't leave without giving her a hug too hehe thankyou for making our little hoilday a time to remeber xxxxxx

Worst holiday of my life, first impressions wasn’t good, asked for help with location of the van as I was 8momths pregnant and had my elderly mum and autistic child Got into the lodge and there was Rubbish left in it Master bedroom blind didn’t go all the wall down so people could see you laid in bed Arcades we’re all broken and no 2p machines, no one to help or give change, Bar/restaurant- very limited options on menu especially children’s which had 4 choices in total, considering they say they cater for children with special needs hence the sensory room, which was just a room with a few lights and soft play pieces, The small soft play area in its self was absolutely filthy which I have photos of also, ripped and food and filth left behind, lollies and food rappers. Also the carpets outside the soft play in the arcades were full of food and dirt even though the complex was quiet with it being off peak so no excuse at all, the shop was smaller then my downstairs toilet couldn’t believe it., no gift hop in sight, ticket exchange was closed down so you can’t exchange your winning tickets! Very limited thing for children to do, club house was boring never nothing on, no activity, couldn’t even go out because you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. Had to get taxis into with beach to let child play on the arcades because he was looking forward to having the arcades, this is the worst holiday I’ve ever had in my life

We spent 4 nights here in a pet friendly caravan. Have got to say we will not return. First the good points..Reception team and shop staff were friendly and helpful, check in and checkout quick and efficient. Also site maintenance man was good and friendly too. We stayed in a Gold Plus caravan I have no idea how it can be classed as that and dread to think what the Bronze and Silver caravans are like. Now the bad points..Our caravan was in the old part of the site, we were surrounded by dirty old run down caravans and old chalets with broken windows and debris scattered all around them. Our van was far from clean.Old cobwebs hanging down in the living room.Dirty sofa cushions.Carpet had not been vacuumed and was covered in long black dog hair our dog is white! Lucky I always take my own vacuum. The shower itself was lovely but was far from well maintained or cleaned with black mould around the shower tray and shower door and shower hose. Bathroom radiator rusty. There are no options for soft lighting in the lounge area and no bed side lamps. No sockets either! There was no light in the kitchen or in the twin bedroom. The steps into the van were old and supported on a brick they were lethal when wet and not dog friendly at all meaning we had to lift our dog in and out. There is a note to say only park in the allocated spaces and not on the road or grass..Strange because we didn’t have an allocated parking space and like everyone else had to park on the road in front of our van and cross our fingers our car did not get damaged by the many bin lorries etc. Wi-Fi is non existent we paid £12 as advised but still nothing. The tv was an old basic tv with no HDMI for a Firestick. We always make good of things and we did just that this time but we will not be back.

The reception staff at this resort went above and beyond to help myself and my girls through a very difficult time. Nothing was too much. So friendly and helpful. I will definitely be wanting to visit again! Thankyou so much!!

Caravan very clean, we needed a quick fix and this did it, nice modern clean van, cooked dinner in there 3 days. Didn't bother with the entertainment popped in for an hour at night only. We had originally booked at minehead butlins but that was flooded, needed somewhere to take our 4 year old grandson. Pool was ok, clean changing rooms. The vouchers where ok you don't get alot we only used 3. Was awake every morning at 6.30 with the woman near us on magpie row talking outside on her phone. She was in the dog house aptly named caravan. park holidays Thanks for the quick break.
