The serving kids were great but front of house very wooden. Food was mediocre, only the special dessert stood out. Not happy to be told only card payment allowed. Just a chain which considers itself superior - it’s not. Will not be returning.

This was a nice dining experience but I found it over expensive for what it was. Cotes seems to now be straying into more of an expensive direction. Nearly £130 for sharing charcuterie board, two steaks, one desert and a bottle of wine? I've dined in Cotes restaurants for years, all over the country but sadly I won't be rushing back.

Lovely meal here at Cote. The staff were all friendly, we were seated and served quickly. We got the fixed price menu, 3 courses for £20, great value for the quality! Companions also enjoyed their meals.

Food was the usual high standard. The staff are friendly and efficient. Very helpful moving chairs so that I could park my mobility scooter indoors.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible, with accessible toilet.

Had well made cocktails from a creative selection, sitting outside under roof. Blankets provided if too cold.

The food was lovely and my waiter was delightful however for the quality and quantity of the food, the prices were quite high!

Stale atmosphere on a Sunday morning. Not a relaxed brunch kinda place so don’t go if that’s what you’re expecting. We ordered the vegan breakfast which sounded great. And to be fair, it tasted great but the hash brown was laughable - it was literally the size of a rubber. As in, the rectangular rubbers you used to have in your pencil case at school. And there was no vegan bacon either. When we asked where it was, it came 15 minutes later by which point we’d finished the breakfast. There was also no vegan butter that came with it and the pieces of sourdough were tiny. Really tasty but not enough of it. Portion sizes were tiny and the service was pretty poor. Left me feeling like I needed a nap.

We have been eating at Cote for a couple of years and the food has always been good. But not on this occasion. I could only describe our meals as poor. We will not be returning.

We'd been to a Cote in York and really enjoyed the experience, so we were looking forward to an early-evenng meal in Harrogate, taking advantage of the fixed-price menu. When we arrived at 5.30, the restaurant was almost empty and the initial greeting was business-like but not particularly friendly. We were not offered the fixed-price menu, so had to ask for it, but eventually ordered what we wanted. Many French-style restaurants provide complimentary bread and water, so we asked for both - and were later surprised to see a charge of nearly £4 for five thin slices of toasted baguette. My wife's salad starter was poor, with inedible mangetout and rock-hard croutons. My calamari was fine. We both had seabass mains, but the courgette was undercooked and impossible to eat. One or two of my boiled potatoes were the same. The fish tasted ok, but the portions were small, and there was very little samphire. We didn't bother with a dessert. In response to our comments, we weren't charged for one glass of wine. By the time the 10% service charge was added (which we paid), the bill for a relatively small meal came to nearly £50. Very disappointing.

Average. But one of those places that add their own tip/service charge to your bill which, of course, includes the drinks already marked up 200%. As they don't take cash, long gone have the days when you could just leave a five pound note as a tip at lunch time for the food.

Thank you so much Cote Harrogate team! You did a wonderful job of looking after our excitable party aged 60+ to 12 for my surprise birthday dinner. Everyone has been raving about the friendly, personable but super-efficient service and the delicious dishes we were keen to share. The way our guests were laughing, relaxing and demanding others to try their food was such a pure pleasure. The wine was top notch and we felt welcomed and comfortable as we celebrated together.Cote Harrogate was my favourite date place with my husband, but I’ve never considered it as a place for family until last week. It’s enormously satisfying to see how clean the restaurant and facilities are and how well the staff relate to each other as well as their guests. We will be back for any excuse now (sorry) x

We’ve eaten in various Cotes as you know what you are going to get and the gluten free options are wide. We ate here early evening so the place wasn’t busy, but got busier as we ate. Starters of Leeks Goat cheese tart and gf crab maison. Mains of Poulet Grille and gf fish parmentier. For some reason, Cote don’t provide much / no veg with their meals other than potato / carbs and the side dishes are expensive for what you get (small portions) so we paid a further £8 for two very small dishes of beans and broccoli. With a bottle of house white, the cost was nearly £87. Food was good and service fine, but eating at Cote is now not a cheap meal but not special either.

It had been some time since I'd been to Cote, and this provided to be a very enjoyable evening. The staff were attentive and efficient throughout and very pleasant. Food was tasty and a good choice.

Lots of gluten free options. Very nice restaurant and friendly staff. Food was lovely (had a pork belly, chicken liver pate and creme brulee). Prices are reasonable. Toilets are a bit far away, but the disabled toilet is on the ground floor, so it's easily accessible. We were given free glass champagne, because it was my birthday. Would definitely recommendDietary restrictions: Gluten free options
