Terrible experience overall. Order taken wrong. When I went back and politely asked for the additional item the staff member informed me that she thought I'd changed my mind mid order and took it off. The additional item was then added and charged for however the receipt didn't print properly. When she gave me a card machine receipt I kindly explained that we'd require a till receipt. Printing this appeared to be a problem for the staff member. When the food came two of the sandwiches had been changed to toasties. This may sound like a small problem however, unfortunately, it is not for a child with additional needs. I raised this with the server and read the receipt of what I had ordered and was told 'ok'. No apology or offer to rectify the order. My son was unable to eat the food. I was made to feel like a problem for raising this. To top it all off the cordial served with my toddlers meal was not diluted at all and the latte was disgusting! The outside area looks nice and the food was ok otherwise it was not a nice experience at all.

This fantastic cafe hosts our Harrogate ladies group, every month. We cannot speak highly enough of the incredible, professional staff ,the ambience and the delicious food and drinks. The best americano outside Italy, my favourite place to pop in with my husband regularly, what a gem for Harrogate.

Didn't have a meal, just a coffee, and cake. Very nice, nice place ?

Cafe Marconi used to be one of our favourite places for lunch in Harrogate, with a good varied menu. Unfortunately they have suddenly changed the menu and it now consists of cold sandwiches and paninis, they no longer even do chips as a side order! I’m not sure if they no longer have a proper chef or have just simply installed a panini maker (as mentioned several times on their recent instagram posts), certainly it looked like the waiting staff themselves were making the paninis when we visited the other day…I had the chicken and bacon panini and while it was reasonably tasty I’m afraid it wasn’t a patch on the same club sandwich they used to do, the filling was rather watery and not overly hot…service seems to have taken a hit too as it was rather slow and there seemed to be several people complaining…hopefully things will improve but I’m afraid we won’t be visiting as often now unless the old menu and service returns…shame

Nice enough place, put waiting 35 minutes for food - 2 sandwiches - is not acceptable (2 other tables walked out before their food came). Staff food came out before lots of customer orders. For those wanting gluten free, they do gluten free bread but it is the very cardboard like . Genius' bread.

What a great little place for breakfast! Food is fab, the coffee is strong and waiters lovely and friendly. Try the bacon sandwich you won’t regret it! It does get busy though so book ahead.

Wonderful little place. Menu had great variation/options available. The only thing I critique is the automatic 10% service charge. I'm more old fashioned and prefer to leave a cash tip after having the food/drinks, not before experiencing the goods and services.

Went with my husband and daughter and sat near the counter. The service of the drinks was slow and the food order completely forgotten. When they were reminded about the food they started to prepare it then forgot about it again! They seemed to be more interested in saving a £1 for the people sitting next to us! Very disappointed.

Very tasty toasted sandwiches, good coffee, friendly service and delicious cake. Would definitely go again if in the area.

This is a pleasant basement cafe in central Harrogate and for the area reasonably priced. Decor is nice, tables well spaced, and staff were pleasant. The food tasted good although there was quite a wait till it all arrived, and if you are putting “Eggs Benedict” on your menu that suggests eggs in plural, not just one which is what you get. I thought the gents toilet could have benefited from a serious clean, the floor in particular, and that lost it another mark. All in all not bad, but the choice in Harrogate is wide and there are better.

Really enjoyed, I’ve spent years going over the road to Pizza Express & Zizzi….. I don’t think I’ll be going back there now I’ve found Marconi ?

Have had many a delicious pizza here but not today! Tasteless, undercooked and less than fresh. Sadly we paid upfront (you don’t get a choice here) so we can’t even deduct the “optional” 10% service charge. We will not be returning.

This was one of our favourite pizza places in Harrogate but our recent visit was poor and we may not go back. The usual friendly welcome was missing on arrival. Our two pizzas were served promptly however the bases were doughy and a little under cooked and both pizzas lacked a little taste. My BBQ chicken had very little chicken topping. An additional issue is that you pay upfront and a ten percent service charge is automatically added to your bill before you have any service. On exit we mentioned the poor pizzas to the waitresses who explained they have a new chef and although they apologised there was no offer to give us back the service charge. Really hoping this is just a glitch and the pizzas return to form but looking at other reviews they may a bigger issue as this has been going for some time.
