We have used the Aroma Restaurant on a number of occasions and found it reasonable. Unfortunately this time it was very disappointing. There were six of us booked for a meal for 16.30 before we went out to a party in a nearby club. The waitress who took our orders was so quiet we struggled to hear what she said. I ordered a prawn cocktail starter which turned out to be the smallest prawns I've ever seen on a bed of plain lettuce (no other salad). The only flavour was the dressing. Very poor quality. Then everything went downhill rapidly. We needed to be out by 17.45 but we were left waiting for our main meals for around twenty minutes. One of my friends went to enquire and explained we had limited time. Shortly after the mains began to arrive. Four of our meals turned up and we started eating expecting the othe two meals to follow. They didn't! We asked where the pizza and third parmesan were. A member of staff apologized saying the pizza had been sent out by mistake on a delivery and they had just forgotten the third parmesan. They offered to cook them again at no cost but because of our time constraint it would be too late for the parmesan. We got the pizza to take out but this was a very poor start to our night out. Think we will be going elsewhere for our meals next time.

Myself and 6 friends visited Aroma for afternoon tea. We were shown our table straight away but waited 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, then another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. We pre ordered our afternoon tea and had a mixture of the three that are on the menu. 5 of us got the aroma afternoon tea and it’s without a doubt the worst one I’ve had. On the menu it states you get ‘mini sliders’, we all got one little slider each which we all had to send back as they were freezing cold. When they were brought back it was clear that they had just reheated them. The menu also says you get potato skins, we didn’t receive these. We had a very small bowl of ‘aroma fries’ between three of us. We literally had 3 chips each. They were just chips (not homemade) with a bit of cheese on top. The halloumi fries were also freezing and just greasy, we also only got one each. For the dessert it was supposed to be tiramisu and brownies bites but we didn’t get these either. We were given shop bought macarons instead. The chicken goujons were amazing! For £24.95pp we were mortified with what we received and all left hungry. I did explain to a staff member how disappointed we all were and she couldn’t apologise enough and gave us 10% off our bill. The cocktails were very nice but would have liked to have more choices of cocktails on the 2 for £12 offer. I wouldn’t recommend Aroma and I definitely won’t be returning.

Will never go back. The food was bland and tasteless. The staff knew nothing about the menu and the lads in the kitchen were literally juggling tomatoes, throwing them across the kitchen at each other and singing at the tops of their voices in full view of everyone!

Terrible, only four other people sat eating when we arrived for lunch for two , waitress was friendly but my chicken pepe was raw was offered to reorder but decided not to and my daughter couldn't eat her meal which was also chicken so we paid the reduced bill and left .Will not ever return .Parking: No parking

Since when does carbonara include onion ? I’ve ate it all around the world , Italy , Cyprus , Greece , France and through out the uk . You are the first to ever include it and class your self as an Italian restaurant ? However the steak does not go from fridge to grill it needs to reach room temperature to then be grilled . It was presented from what it looked and tasted it was from the microwave. The menu was dirty with some kind of red sauce before we arrived also paying the bill the staff member was on her phone and me and my partner had to say exscuse me to pay the bill before leaving , they was one person who made the evening a little better and that was a young lady running around wish I caught her name to reference it but she should be deserves a promotion or a industry what would appreciate her work ethicParking: Hard to park

After being let down by the Oven restaurant, we thought we would give Aroma a try as it is just around the corner. We were not disappointed, great Sunday lunch, we will definitely return, great price, comfortable surroundings and friendly staff.

A lovely atmosphere in a beautiful, family-run restaurant. The food was gorgeous, with a focus on fresh ingredients. Mico is a gent and is very proud of his place. Can't wait for another rib-eye steak there. Cheers.

The place is well furnished and cared for. The staff was very kind to let me sit, although I had not booked and paid the deposit for Christmas lunch. The three courses were neither abundant nor tasty. For 65 GBP I would have expected something better. I ate shrimp cocktail, salmon en croute with potato pie and broccoli, and sorbet. The sorbet consisted of three balls of lemon and strawberry ice cream with a biscuit, and the taste was of stuff bought at the supermarket. Although the staff repeatedly insisted that I order drinks, I limited myself to a glass of orange juice, paid aside 1.70 GBP. I give' two stars for the location and the kindness of the staff. I would not recommend this place, at least as far as the Christmas lunch.

we had lunch here on Sunday, the staff were very welcoming when we entered and we were shown straight to our seats. the restaurant has a lovely feel and atmosphere with music playing at a low level in the lovely background. we didn't have to wait long before our drinks order was taken and soon after our order was taken. the starters were lovely if anything slightly on the small side but a good average size for starters. The main courses were a very good size and very tasty. There wasn't anything wrong with the service and restaurant overall, a very lovely meal and the cost for 4 starters, 4 main courses and 8 drinks came to a reasonable £100. would recommend Aroma to anyone looking for a lovely restaurant meal for family and any occasion. One downside but nothing to do with the restaurant is that parking now is a nightmare due to the introduction of the cycle lane has removed many parking spaces in town.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options for you to choose from.Kid-friendliness: Great options for childrenParking: Not very good parking, would recommend parking in the Cleveland centre or the hill street centre and then a short 5-minute walk to the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for wheelchair usersDietary restrictions: Many options for most dietary needs.

The layout of this place needs reconsidering, 2 big tables were cramped together, making getting to the toilets difficult, the food took an hr to come out (probably because of the few Christmas parties and the football being on) but when it came out it was lukewarm/cold. We had booked a table and when we arrived it was not set up for us and they had to take a table from another coupleWheelchair accessibility: There is no room in this establishment for wheelchair access

Went in tonight for nice meal. We called to book on but we were told to walk in. Sat us behind a big table which was fine but the restaurant wasn’t full at her moment. I work in a restaurant so I know some tables are saved for bookings. Waited 30 mins for drinks while staff looked at us knowing we weren’t happy and was taking orders for tables that came in after us, and we ended up walking out. Won’t be going again

This was our second trip here, the first time was rather pleasant, with very tasty food, but the rude and incompetent staff put us off returning sooner. After reading the recent reviews I wasn't expecting too much from this place and needles to say it still managed to disappoint. The staff are still rude and appear clueless, the bar girl could perhaps do with some training in customer service as well as how to make drinks, the chef's are dressed like they work in a takeaway and appear to be drunk and the food has really gone downhill. Do yourselves a favour and avoid at all costs!Very easy to see why this restaurant is empty most days when I'm passing by.
