We have visited here for 3 meals whilst staying at Southview retreat. The food is outstanding , service fantastic, very friendly. The pub overall was lovely, would highly recommend. We had the Sunday lunch today and wow it was amazing.

We visited the Black Swan Inn for the first time tonight, the food was outstanding, the service was second to none. It was so lovely to see a local pub so buzzing. Would highly recommend this pub and we will be returning.

Delicious food, parmo was fantastic and honestly head shoulders above other local establishments that are rated for their Parmo’s. Staff were obviously lovely, atmosphere was great and the fire was tremendous. Will definitely be returning!

Faultless.Barman Alex is brilliant despite being a busy night. Insisted on seeing mother blowing out a candle on a piece of chocolate fudge cake as it was her birthday.Waitress very polite.Food portion and value for money were outstanding.

Popped in with the wife and the dog, had a lovely welcome and really nice staff. I had a Parmo (obviously!) and the wife had Chicken Carbonara, both meals were mega and the portion sizes were certainly more than enough. Great value would highly recommend! Dogs allowed in the bar area but not restaurant just so your aware. Certainly be back!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options including Veggie Parmo and Lasagne.

I went with a party of 7 on a Saturday evening. We made a late afternoon booking and were surprised that they could accommodate us due to a very large public event in the area.We arrived to a partially empty pub not thinking good.Our thoughts quickly changed. The restaurant area soon filled up, the service was very good, but at times a little, this was due to the numbers dining, the staff great.2 of the group, vegetarian had a good choice. The food we ordered from a number of starters through to dessert was very delicious. We couldn't believe the portion sizes. I've been in several restaurants were the starter size would have equaled the main. A couple struggled with the amount of food.Excellent home cooked man sized portions.Vegetarian options: My friends were very happy with the choice of vegetarian options.Parking: A good carpark is located at the side. I will soon fill up but roadside parking is also available.Kid-friendliness: I didn't see children's menus, but children were eating with families.

Visited tonight while on holiday in the area. Plenty for everyone on the menu and all options reasonably priced. We opted for the 2 meals for £20 and both had cod and chips. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot and wow what a portion. Plate was overflowing. I’m not a huge fan of fish but omg the shark on my plate was something else. Food was amazing and the chips took me back to being a child as they were cooked exactly like my nan used to do them. The establishment itself is small and was busy in both parts of the bar. Staff were an absolute delight both the bar staff and waiters. 3 meals, 2 pints of coors and a pint of coke £32 which I think is amazing value for money. We have already booked to return on Sunday for a roast and am looking forward to it…. The waites from South Wales
