Cheap drinks, good service and interesting encouragement for not using mobile phones and talking instead. Crowd and atmosphere was a bit mixed but decent enough.

Great place to unwind. It's a samual smith establishment so it abiles by the no phone rule. Great lager and views right in the center of linthorpe.

Service very very slow. Needed more staff on than 2 and a manager on a baking hot day with a large beer garden. Great venue but needs to adjust to the needs of the customers nowadays with different selections of beers and ciders. Very dated

Not the linthorpe of my youth, but still a good pint and one of the best pubs for a sunny day ?

Friday night, fairly quite, faces from years ago still using the pub, that must say something, but still places to sit. Warm weather, people sitting outside in a spacious beer garden. Good pint of OB,not as inexpensive as it was, staff ok.New management, nice couple, food available now ?.Large gently sloping ramp makes wheelchair access easy.Dog friendly.

The lack of music and a tv makes having a friendly conversation much easier. Well priced drinks means it's easy on your pocket. All in all, a place for a convivial night out.

Was chucked out for being on my phone. It was on silent and wasn't bothering anyone however the manager felt necessary to make a scene over it. He didn't care the table next to me were rolling joints and the pub stank of weed but it was terrible I was on my phone.
