Food was nice, worth the money. Most of the staff really friendly. One or two that didn't seem like they wanted to be there, we ordered 2 ice Creams which took around 20 mins to come out and the weight practically threw them at my family members other than that great night.Parking: Parking is free, it's round the back of the restaurant but you need to put number plate in when eating in restaurant

Nice place quick service, beer shandy was a bit bland, I had the full hotshot Parmo it was nice but not the best Parmo I’ve had was actually quite small for a full Parmo probs one of the hottest I’ve had. Flat white coffee was nice and tasty tho I found the mug difficult to hold as the finger hold on the mug was just big enough for a child’s finger. Over all first time visit was ok O would go again but try a different dish.

Had a great experience here. Ordered the chicken parmos, koshary and curry. All came out quickly, staff were very helpful and friendly. Above all the food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

First time here today, and we we all left hugely disappointed.Service was horrendous, constantly hassled if we had finished yet the plates were full and the bairn was clearly still eating. 7 times this happened!!!The food is massively overrated £22 for a lamb dinner that was drenched in gravy and way too rich i couldn't eat it, and the beef was so dry.Never again

The Sunday dinner tasted superb. But, you didn’t get time to enjoy being there. The plates nearly got taken away twice while we were still eating. I felt pretty much pushed out after we finished. As we were leaving, some woman came over to the table asking if she could have it as she had been waiting for ages.Amazing food, but not the best dining experience.

We visited The Oven on Saturday for a family meal to celebrate my parents 60th Anniversary. We were a larger group and the service was fantastic. Everyone really enjoyed their food, all meals were great quality, really well presented and again, service was excellent. The staff were great accommodating balloons, cake and multiple requests for drinks and coffees. Thank you for a great evening and fantastic food. Highly recommended!

We were visiting our son at University and having seen this restaurant on an earlier visit decided to try it out. We had to queue outside for a short while and had not booked but still got a table. From ordering to food being served was only 5-10 minutes. We all ate the beef Sunday dinner and it was amazing. Well worth the money and would recommend anyone to eat here. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We absolutely love this place, the service and food are second to none. By far the best restaurant in Middlesbrough. Your not crammed in like sardines like another restaurant up the road! Keep up the good work Tarek and staff.

Turned up on time and was immediately shown to our table even restaurant was very busy. Service was quick but very professional and such a lovely team to be served by. Food was superb as always and a great place to visit, never disappointed.

A very nice place, service was fast, the staff are great, friendly, helpful and very professional and pleasant. The atmosphere was alright, personally I'm not a fan of town centre restaurants, but I got to say, it was very nice. Drinks are expensive, but the price of the food was reasonable.Parking: The restaurant has an underground free carpark at the rear of the building, you have to log your registration number into the in-store iPad when entering.

I have been here many times with varied experiences of the food but generally fine. I will definitely say their Sunday dinners are top notch. However, there are a couple of times which stand out as being extremely poor: - went as a group some time ago with a few of us ordering the same thing and the chicken was raw. I told the waiter that we couldn’t eat the chicken and he called me a very offensive name which was accusing me of something that was absolutely disgraceful and untrue. Luckily I was not the only person there so when it was brought to the managers attention about what he had called me, he apologised and said it was untrue. - the most recent visit was with a friend. She had a Parmesan and I had the beef stroganoff pasta which I had in my previous visit. There were 3 tiny bits of beef in it and it was swimming in oil. I could only eat the very top layer due to the amount of oil. I looked to see if there was any more beef within and there wasn’t. While we were eating, my friend said that she didn’t want to worry me but that she couldn’t taste anything (she was worried she may have covid). I thought this was strange so I tried some of her food and very oddly, it didn’t actually taste of anything…not even the cheese. You could taste the texture of the chicken and sauce but there was absolutely no flavour. She also tried mine and she could taste it so it was definitely something odd with the parmo. We told the waiter and said we had barely eaten anything and we would be happy to pay for the drinks. Explained the oil and tasteless food was problematic and that we were disappointed as regular customers. The manager came over and would not let either of us speak. He just said you will pay for some of this food so it will be a 50% discount and you are wrong about the chicken as it is good quality chicken, then walked away. It was so rude and misogynistic we were shocked. So we both decided we would find a new regular spot and not bother going back Huge shame!

The restaurant has a very good vibe, food is nice and the portion is large with very fair price.

Dined here tonight for to celebrate my sons birthday, and although the food was nice, we were confused about the menu stating you could get 2 courses for £16.45 and could mix & match between the “Pre Fixe” menu and the “a la carte” menu! We asked 3 times for an explanation to how it worked and was definitely told that it would be supplemented to what we ordered, but when the bill came, we were charged full price for everything single thing! When we queried it, he just skirted around the reasons, wasn’t going to budge an inch, and wouldn’t accept that it was very misleading and we had been told very wrongly how it worked out. Most of us wouldn’t have even had a desert if we thought we were paying the full price for it. His attitude was awful, and we left fuming, and will never go back. Totally ripped us off ??

Incredible quality and quantity for a Sunday lunch. Oven Restaurant set a new benchmark for me that no other Sunday lunch has come close to. Only wish I lived closer to go again. Well done Chef and Staff. (Move over Marco) Best of luck with the new venture.
