I live in Harrogate, but I choose to travel (on 36bus) to Ripon, to the Unicorn.Very pleasant, not noisy like ‘Winter Gardens’ harrogate.Friendly staff ?Fish/Chips/Peas & a pint Guinness for £11:17pm.. Guinness in the meal is £2:37 !!Also tried the Haggis (for Burns week) lovely.I visit once a week & do my grocery shop in Sainsburys & Home Bargains.Rate this ‘Spoons’ (& the Knaresborough one)

Don't expect the Dorchester or the Ritz but for a small breakfast and as much coffee as you can drink it's £4.95 it's £5.00 for a coffee in Betty's . The building at JD's is fantastic it's a wonder there's not an entrance fee to look round.
Great environment serving excellent food and drinks and plenty of accomodation and tables available. The service is super fast and there is a wide ranging menu to suit all tastes. Friendly and efficient staff, we like Wetherspoons!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options available which are changed regularly.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible with wheel chair accessible toilets on the ground floor.

Perhaps we've been to Weather spoons too often. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food cooked/prepared well.Somehow the sparkle was missing as it all seemed a bit rushed and impersonal.However, you cannot denigh it was excellent value. The wine we picked was also very good.
