Messy Buns made our wonderful wedding cake! Lydia was very accommodating and helpful from the start. We requested a variety of different flavours of chocolate cake for our tasting, and every flavour was absolutely delicious. It was hard to pick one!In the end, we had a chocolate and raspberry cake. It looked gorgeous and tasted fantastic. Lots of compliments from the guests too.Thank you!

This spot is great for a quiet lunch made with the freshest ingredients. We loved the Brie & cranberry grilled cheese sandwich, but everything, every salad & dessert was delicious!!

Lovely birthday cake for my 96 year old mother, the best cake I have ever tasted and was big enough for all the extended family to have a piece. Fantastic!

What a great place, the menu is fairly limited but the food offered brilliant value, extremely tasty and very well presented. Highly recommended for tea, coffee and light bites.

Proper cups & teapots and fab cakes at this tucked away tearoom. Thank you for accommodating (unannounced) a large group of walkers this afternoon. you were a star!

We found this lovely tearoom whilst mooching around Ripon. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back.

I love trip advisor for finding gems like this. Amazing place to eat, all food in clear view prepared freshly on the premises. The tomato & Feta soup was utterly delicious especially great value with a cheese toastie. My husband had Brie & Bacon which came with the most amazing salad. Top place highly recommended with a beautiful smiley owner.

Had a great wee cup o tea, and a nice coffee. Also some excellent brownies and blondies. Double decker brownie was super sweet but tasty

Friendly service with fantastic food! We ordered lunch & were served quickly, which is always good. I had a goats cheese & beetroot toasty which came with a small selection of side salads. It was all fresh & tasty. My mother was genuinely surprised by the amount of food on her plate, that was quite amusing. I had a look around at the other customers food - the pancakes were amazing! We would have loved a cake from them because they looked delicious but couldn't fit them in. If we go back to Ripon we'd love to visit again! The cafe is at the top of the building so if you get a window seat you'll get an interesting view of the going-ons down on the street. One of the most important things to me about this place is that it's dog friendly which definitely isn't the case everywhere in Ripon!

Although this is not on the main run up to the cathedral, it was a lovely surprise. There was a varied menu, very reasonable prices and a tasty lunch. I had a Brie and cranberry toastie. It came with two salads, very tasty. We have visited Ripon a few times recently and when we come again we will return to Messy Buns. The staff couldn’t do more ?
