This fascinating building hosts a great tour, a fabulous shop and in my opinion the greatest Beer bar in the world.Open fire, traditional furnishings and a selection of the finest beers.I thought the facilities for dogs were good, outside of course to prevent the risk of allergic reactions, fearful experiences for children and smelly dog syndrome.A bar is like a restaurant, and a refined bar is like a high-class restaurant, not the place for animals. This bar is excellent and should be respected.Dog owners... Grow up.Oh and the shop is very nice.

Took the brewery tour as a party of four and it was fully enjoyed by all, especially the tasting in the bar afterwards. Followed by a purchase in the shop.Would fully recommend a visit.

A brilliant afternoon with the brewery, if you ever do this tour I would highly recommend a half of O. P. and a half of Barista Stout in a pint glass, absolutely stunning pint ?

After visiting the brewery tap we decided to take a tour. This is an old Victorian brewery and uses a tower system which use’s gravity in the brewing process. The brewery creates its own grist and has its own cooper on site. The vessels are old and it’s great to see a traditional brewery that has not gone all stainless steel and modern.Good tour with lots of information and included is a pint which you can either have as a pint or three 3rds and try a few different beers.A well stocked shop and bar which has upstairs seating.Parking is in the square in Masham and is only 5 minute walk. No parking on site. The parking in the centre has an honesty box with a recommended £1 donation. Well worth the £1.

A very informative and interesting tour of a traditional gravity fed brewery...and delicious ale at the end too!!

Great to find a small cosy bar with a real fire that doesn't allow dogs in all areas as I'm allergic. Always been a fan of Old Perculiar. Great tours and ales.

This used to be our favourite place, friendly staff and always welcomed Dogs.In our last visit found out not dog friendly anymore, had to sit outside in the cold with our furry baby, staff very unfriendly, won't be going again, so disappointed ?

Simply great beer! What else would you expect. Oh and plenty of souvenir gifts to be had. Only disappointment was it shut so early, but plenty of other places to go for more Theakstons beer in the village.

Great little place

Rude and aggressive barman. Shouted at me for walking in with a dog. Staff in the shop didn't say there was anything wrong with it when I walked through. Great beer. Hopefully just one terrible person working there.

So the on-site pub shuts at an inexplicably early 4.30pm. However, worse still, it turns out when we arrived at 4.10pm that last orders for drinks is 4pm!After an afternoon walking on the local moors, we hurried into Masham, looking forward to a decent pint of Old Peculier, arriving at 4.10pm (thinking we were in time for 4.30 closing). But the jobsworth staff in the pub/visitor centre showed no flexibility and refused to sell us beer!My friends had their well-behaved dog with them (hardly unusual in a popular walking area like this), so actually the first words out of the staff's mouth was "oh, you've got a dog with you: we don't allow dogs in here". This is into a 'pub' style building with hard floors. So, some pubs don't allow dogs - fair enough - but for this to be the unfriendly greeting is no good. We would also have been more than happy to sit outside on the benches and tables in the beer garden. If it was my business, would I refuse money when my pub was completely empty and potential customers arrived 10mins after the arbitrary last-orders time? If I did, I wouldn't be surprised if I went out of business. This is meant to be the flagship of this beer brand, and the staff are meant to be brand ambassadors. As it is, they are small-minded clock watchers who turn customers away.Avoid!

Tour was superb. Interesting how they still make beer using same tooling, machines and craft skills of old. The attached Black Bull in Paradise offers all the ales, served as they are meant to be. Super small quaint pub and fully stocked Theakston gift shop. Essential visit for the serious beer drinker.

We took part in a brewery tour and enjoyed it so much, the young lady who took us around was a font of knowledge. Great time was had by all and a few beers afterwards what more could you ask for.

Visited yesterday to try a few beers. Had Old Peculiar, chocolate old peculiar, Barista which is great. Good shop loads of different things to buy. Bar had good selection of beers i think 8. Dogs are allowed outside in small beer garden. Brewery tours are available here as well. About 5 mins walk from market place where you can park.
