Figured Id give this place a solid shot, been around Saltburn a couple of years and stayed in Thailand half a year, conversational. Got 3 starters. Satay chicken nice, tempura prawns and deep fried king prawns were the same ofc. Tried my Thai and asked for a little bit spicy Pad Thai with chicken, BK style and traditional style(with egg as a reminder). Arrived with a fried egg on top (not mixed in, perhaps on top is thai fusion idk) and lemon for garnish (which I had to pick the seeds out of) a couple of small mistakes however the starters were not fantastic, the Pad Thai was OK, no chilli flakes provided however nuts were. Yeah about avarage. Id probably go to again if I fancied it.

Was here with my two Sisters, for a Birthday meal, as we do. Absolutely loved everything about the place. Not one complaint, or problem, and the food was quickly prepared and on the table, will definitely call again.

Went last night my wife's birthday yes did not pre book guilty as charged but really disapointed by employee's attitude. Got turned away but staff at door told not open till 5 came back at at quarter past 5 then got told sorry we are fully booked. Call me a bad man but that is not cricket why did you not just say sorry we are fully booked ? Sorry hate to rate you poor but as an outsider not happy as we was dealt with. Very very disappointed, but other saltburn establishedments like the pilar box and Number 23 and Alexrand volts were very friendly, unlike coco rum.

As per most of the reviews of this place, it is excellent. Freshly cooked Thai food with full flavours. Great value set menu of mixed starters, Green Curry and Duck dish, served with jasmine rice….simple! Booked on Saturday for 8pm and was told we got the last table….. …was sceptical when turning up at 7.50 and all the tables but one were empty….. No fear……10 minutes past 8 and the place was buzzing, full and vibrant! A must visit in Saltburn !

Excellent friendly service. Food was beautiful, just wish we live closer! My wife had pad Thai, I had duck in tamarind sauce, which was delicious.

Arrived at Coco & Rum at 5.30pm our table was ready, we all ordered our drinks. We chose our food and placed our order for all 7 of us the staff were very attentive. When our food arrived it looked amazing each and every dish. The food tasted amazing as good as its presentation and all arrived together. Each person on our table complimented the food they ordered it was cooked fresh and the service was on point. No one in our party had any reason for complaint. Top place to eat I cant recommend highly enough. Thank you to all the staff.
Lunchtime visit, offer a good choice of gluten free options (am Coeliac). Menu clearly marked with GF, wheat and dairy free options. Lovely to have a variety of dishes to choose from. I had coconut soup which was delicious, a mix of sweet and spicy. Main course beef in black bean sauce with egg fried rice, also very good. My partner also enjoyed his dishes. Two courses at lunchtime are £14.95. This was my first Thai meal for about 6 years, a shame it is not closer to my home in Leeds. Food was excellent, service good with a friendly welcome from all staff. Highly recommended.

Only had cocktails. This place calls itself a bar cafe and restaurant but it's really only a restaurant. Cocktails were served but most people were eating. Service was fine but if you are looking for a bar this isn't really it.

First time visiting the restaurant as we haven’t been able to get in before. The service was excellent without being intrusive and the food was yummy. Definitely will be back! Especially for the tamarind duck.
