What a fantastic way to bring in the New Year! Exquisite food, fantastic service, great atmosphere. The singer was brilliant and it was great fun singing along. The food was as always cooked to perfection, the chef is certainly very talented. I can’t recommend this family run business enough, far better than Tomahawk

First visited this lovely bistro in mid November, and thoroughly enjoyed,hence a second visit mid December,once again we were not disappointed,each dish served is absolutely exceptional,from starters through the mains to dessert,with nice wine to compliment the food,lovely intimate feel to the place, ideal for that family meal, or a couples night out, menu was totally different to our last visit,which is nice to see, very friendly proffesional staff,put the seal on a perfect night,next visit won’t be far away for sure.

What an absolutely amazing little find. 5 star all the way. Warm friendly welcome from the staff,without been over powering, beautifully decorated Bistro,lovely atmosphere,had a homely feel. The food was truly delicious, reasonsbly priced,and cooked to perfection. Can not praise this lovely Bistro enough. Compliments to the very talented chef. We will definitely return.

Booked R&R for our Christmas staff meal. From the initial contact Elaine and her team were so helpful, kind and approachable. Nothing was too much to ask for. On the evening itself plenty of staff available to keep the drinks flowing. Top quality food. Lively atmosphere. A real hidden gem. Happy to support another local business. Would recommend to friends and family.

We had heard good things about this restaurant so decided to book for Sunday lunch. I mentioned that it was my husband's 65th birthday and when we got there there was balloons tied to his chair - what a lovely touch. I had the antipasti for starters and my husband had the pigeon. I had roast beef for main and my husband had the pork. Both came with roast and mash potatoes, stuffing, yorkshire pudding and a mix of lovely vegetables. Unfortunately had no room for a dessert! Will definately be back.

Gorgeous food. It feels like you are eating in someone’s front room. You are cared for (the service feels personal) and the food is excellent. We booked the date night menu (gorgeous steak & yummy lobster together with a bottle of wine) and were not disappointed. We also shared a meringue dessert and as requested we were provided with a large spoon (for me) and a small spoon ( for my wife) ? A lovely evening. We will be back

My husband & I visited on a weekend with our friends and we weren’t disappointed. We started off with 2 rounds of cocktails which we enjoyed sat in the snug upstairs before sitting down for dinner. We’d ordered 2 lots of the date night special, one per couple which consisted of fillet steaks, lobster, a side of vegetables, wedges and sauces. My husband & I ordered our steaks ‘blue’, they were absolutely perfect and we were not short changed with the size of steaks, they were huge and hands down the best fillet steaks we have ever ordered anywhere!! The date night special also included a bottle of house wine, we ordered the merlot and it was lovely. We finished off with a joint cheese board between the 4 of us which was superb. The service was outstanding, everyone was so friendly, this place is an absolute gem, you must visit this place you won’t be disappointed.
Food was just ok. Chef advised pork would be a bit pink, but was overcooked, tho sauce/veg nice. Mushroom tagliatelle was again ok, but lacked seasoning. Great service/friendly owner.
