I stumbled across this little gem of a pub yesterday and what a great find! I went with my Mum, sister and cousins for a wee post Christmas catch up and we all absolutely loved it. Firstly we there were 2 super cosy real fires and we could have a conversation without having to shout to at each other. The food was fantastic and the booze seriously well priced. My mum had the macaroni cheese and she loved it....she's extremely fussy, so it really must have been good. I had the fish goujons and they were equally delicious. The staff were amazing, Jackie served us and was quite possibly the friendliest person I've been served by and Jon was the jolliest of bar men. I'll definitely be back and think we'll try a roast the next time. Most definitely looking forward to visiting this cute little pub again!

Lovely food, beer and service. Mandy and Pauline great hosts. Fantastic country pub with a great beer garden for eating outside. Cash only but as long as you know not a problem.

A very nice clean pub and a nice friendly welcome. We booked a table and enjoyed a delicious meal. Menu was adequate. Certainly would recommend Hare & Hounds. The only issue is the pub only takes cash! Not ideal, but we managed. Sam Smiths need to change that and be in the 21st century like the majority of pub restaurants.

We haven't been able to get together as a group for the last two years and so we're delighted to have had our first reunion over Sunday lunch at the Hare & Hounds in Stutton.Excellent choice it was too - we were made very welcome by all the bar and kitchen team and enjoyed excellent range of Pork, Turkey and Beef roasts all washed down with traditional Sam Smiths beers. Who knew that three hours could pass so convivially? Many thanks to everyone concerned and we look forward to meeting up again in summer when hopefully we will be able to use the delightful gardens.Peter
