What a lovely classy afternoon tea experience. Well worth it. Super food in a wonderful environment. Looked after beautifully by friendly staff.

Quality tea rooms. Salmon and prawn sandwich on grannery bread. Egg Mayo on granary.Bowl of Propper chips and the best Latte Coffee. Traditional loose leaf tea. Worth the wait.

Very disappointed. I brought my friends that are visiting from Germany. A cappuccino was awful, bitter and cold with hard coffee dregs in the bottom of the cup, this from a company that say they offer superior coffee and teas... We ordered three main meals, the salad dressing was bland, tasteless and when we mentioned it to a waitress, she was rude and asked if we wanted mayonnaise on the salad ! I felt embarrassed because I had enthused about Betty's. A manager came over and we explained everything but she didn't seem to care and didn't even remove the coffee from our bill. My friends asked if we could leave and find somewhere else for a desert, they said it was overrated. After years of successful visits to Betty's in Harrogate, this was a really disappointing experience.

Glorious as ever.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff.Had the afternoon tea but portion sizes were very small, 4 crustless triangle sandwiches, 1 scone with cream and jam, 3 tiny cakes and a pot of tea.My daughter had a vegetarian breakfast and that was lovely.

It's always a fabulous experience, atmospheric and cakes to die for!

The soup and the York sausage are very delicious! My husband and I shared meal. The soup was very good mount even shared and nicely warm and calm taste. The york sausage was juicy and meaty! Not fake taste!I recommend going before lunch time rush. We went 11:30am was no line, but 12:00pm was long line. (We went there on Monday, and rain weather)

Poor . Service is very good we took my in-laws for afternoon tea but it certainly did not meet expectations of the reputation. The cupOf tea itself was good but the food selection for the money was quite frankly awful. We have been downstairs for coffee in a morning before which was very good but this experience was overpriced service station sandwiches.Bettys managment should take note as a reputation can soon wain if people come away feeling fleeced

Friday afternoon (non school holiday) and there was a queue for about 15/20 minutes. We weren't expecting much as we thought it might just be one of those famous places that tourists must try once. We were pretty wrong. The service were great, fat rascal and cakes were delicious, tea were good. We had an enjoyable experience and would definitely like to be back again next time.

It's a treat to visit Betty's. At least it was. It is a bit more expensive than I remember and the size and cost of a ham and cheese sandwich is ludicrous. Four small triangles of bread with very little filling for £10.50. I don't know what possessed me!It was great service and a lovely atmosphere, hence the 4 stars.I love Betty's . I first went to Betty's on St Patrick's day 1954. I was a baby and can't remember it obviously. I've been back many times and will continue to visit.

Getting too expensive now and their online shop deliveries are a joke. Waiting over a week for teabags?? Sorry but you’ve dropped the ball in your pricing and your online shop service. I expect more for a company charging prestigious price but supplying a second class experience. Very disappointed.
