Ordered from here a couple of times and the New York pizza was pretty good although toppings always wrong (with some missing) and chips very soggy and generally poor. However on the third order I tried the Detroit pizza and it was one of the most dry, hard to eat, tasteless things I've ever had. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that we'd maybe just got a bad one, rather than this being the norm. So I emailed to ask and got no reply. Only reason it's two stars instead of one is that the New York pizza is not bad (although there's better in York with better customer service).

Fab pub with a great atmosphere, cheap drinks and super friendly staff. We were made to feel really welcome. The karaoke was also on and it was so much fun, will deffo be back soon!!

Good variety of beers with a decent price, ideal for an after work pint. Visitied this pub quite a few times in 2 weeks, and already after the 2nd time it felt like home, people are relaxed, pub is not too crowded. Merged with the pub is a great American style food joint which serves good pizzas, and burgers with great quality meat. Tomorrow will be my last day at this pub and I must admit it is the only thing I've bonded to in York. Thanks to Nicole, Ben and the crew for making us feel like home. Hope I will be welcome if I visit again in a few months :)

I’m no stranger to a burger as anyone that knows me will tell you, but I have to say my take away burger and chips last night was incredible! I’d say it’s one of the tastiest stacked burger I’ve had anywhere, and that includes posh restaurants up and down the country. Don’t miss it if you are in the area, it’s a hidden gem operating out of The Mount Pub in York. York is an amazing city of historic sights and things to see, but high on my to do list next time I come to York will be order a take away from here. Top marks.

Staying in local hotel called in to see if footie was being shown next evening within minutes loved the place landlady so helpfull,locals so welcoming and ready to exchange banter visited next 2 evenings and atmosphere superb.will return to c u all next time in York,thank you all 4 making us so welcome! The new friday night karaoke nights are a blast! Atmosphere was great and staff was so welcoming! Came last week had such a laugh also had a great offer on the spirits and bottles! Will definitely be back again!

Gluten free base was so thick, hard and extremely chewy it was inedible and ended up in the bin. Had to pay extra for gf base too...joke!! Not a nice experience for first time ordering and won't waste money here again
