Really very nice staff, absolutely delicious food and a nice stay. In my opinion, it's definitely an "insider tip" because the restaurant is a bit out of the way. We would definitely come back next time we visit York!Only the tip was, in our opinion, too high at around 20%...

Popped in here following the Ghost Bus Tour- drove past and saw a few empty tables so knew we could get away without booking! Genuinely, one of the best curries I’ve ever had in my life. Very good service - as we were leaving the tables were starting to fill up so I would probably book in future, just to be safe!

One of the better Indian offerings in York. The menu has a lot to offer and the dishes are reliably high quality.Prices are fair and the staff are friendly and welcoming.The mixed starter plate was especially good as were the sagg options.

Visiting York and was recommended this restaurant by a local pub landlord. So glad we took his advice, amazing food, really delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful and can't fault anything about this excellent restaurant, would highly recommend to anyone for a great, well priced meal in pleasant surroundings.

Ordered a lovely meal delivered within thirty minutes, piping hot and so tasty. Onion Baji, kebabs, lamb jal ferezi, chicken korma and best parathas I've tasted. Great value for money too!

Visited for the first time and very welcoming even though I arrived before they were even open. Recently been refurbished. The cobra on draught Wes spot on. Very busy for a Monday night which was good to see. The food was excellent probably the best traditional fish pakoras ever. Murgh Masala was the choice for main course and again wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be returning

We’ve previously ordered quite a few takeaways from this restaurant which were all great. Unfortunately a few months ago we ordered a takeaway, but we were missing an item. We called the restaurant and were told that the next time we ordered, we should add a note to the order detailing this and they will make sure to add the item for no extra charge. We ordered online for a takeaway to be delivered the other night and when it arrived, this item was missing again. We called the restaurant expecting them to be understanding and either send the item out to us or refund us. However, they did not respond well and told us that we should have called up to tell them about this or that we should have made clear on our online order. We told them we made a note on our order as previously told but they said they didn’t get it… which makes you wonder how they were able to deliver the rest of our takeaway... I understand a missing item may not be a big deal, however we paid for delivery, the order was incorrect for the second time and we did not receive good customer service due to their error. It’s a shame but we will not be ordering from here again.
