It was a quiet Saturday night but staff were friendly, warm, welcoming and attentive! The food was delicious. We have both the cold and hot mezes, a mixed grill for two, two additional mains and a drinks. Altogether the price was very reasonable and we would 100% recommend!

The best food! Great service! Very great ambience in the heart of York! 100/10 would recommend for muslim tourists who's looking for halal food.

Try to find halal food in york. The staff is nice and the place is clean. However, this portion of rice is not enough for me and i need to add more salt for my lamb soup’staste.

We called in by chance and we're glad we did. There's a good menu to choose from to suit just about everyone, the stuffed vine leaves cold starter is beautifully mildly spiced which makes the flavour pop, my wife had Lamb mousaka and I had the minced lamb kofta......fantastic, flavoursome dishes. We will definitely go back again.

Had a wonderful meal here on Christmas day. We had a sharing platter, with calamari on the side, followed by moussaka. Everything was fresh and very filling. The staff were friendly, hard working and attentive. Will try the grille next time. Looked amazing.

Had a really lovely meal the other evening. Had meatballs to start, homemade, and in a lovely tomato sauce. Then I had the lamb koftas. Really nice flavour, rice was cooked to perfection, and the fries where delicious. Highly

We went for lunch on Xmas day (away for work) and were welcomed with warm hospitality. The moussaka was rich, savoury and perfect cold weather dining. Later that night I returned to ask for a take out Turkish bread for my daughter who wasn’t feeling great. They’d run out but the owner, Mitat, popped in the back, came out with one warm Turkish bread and said “Here, have mine.” He was giving me the last Turkish bread which was, no doubt, being saved for his staff meal at the end of the night after a nonstop, sold out day. If that isn’t Christmas spirit, nothing is.

This restaurant has a cosy, casual and friendly atmosphere. The food tasted fresh, home cooked, healthy, authentic and satisfying. It was busy when we visited yet service was speedy.

Excellent halal food, amazing staff and warm atmosphere! 10/10 I had the Kapadokya special, if you like sweet and sour combination, you’ll love it!

It is kapadokyan vibe with the warm welcome of the stuff! Highly recommended to eat the Turkish bread that is fresh homemade and the special kapadokya dish! A mix of salty and sweet that you won’t forget the taste of it! For dessert I would go with Sultac that is similar to rice pudding and not to forget the Turkish tea and baklava

Juicy charcoal grilled chicken. Baba ghanoush was different from what we’re used to having but still tasty. Amazing service - both attentive and generous. Will hopefully revisit this restaurant when we come back to York. The owner and manager were extremely friendly. These things make a massive difference when dining in at new places.

We have had a large group dinner here for the last 3 years, and the food is always great! They deal with all the dietary requirements and always make a nice amount of space for our group of 50+ people.Vegetarian options: Great selection for everyone!

Food presentation was good, I ordered a mix grill.I asked for some bread which should have come before I was waiting for food with some dips or at least with the mix grill but was not complimentory like it is at Istanbul restaurant (Manchester).I asked for Turkish tea which should have come complimentory again but was charged for it, so don't go on others reviews of receiving it complimentory.Cheesecake was not nice and not worth the price at all, the ice cream was a frozen tub one.The chicken and the Adana kebab were nice, the lamb pieces and wings were not cooked to my liking and neither was the lamb chop (which had a suspicious smell to it).
