Amazing breakfast in the beautiful courtyard. Felt like we were on holiday! Lovely atmosphere and good choice on the menu.

Always first class food and a warm, friendly welcome at The Dining Room. A range of lovely food for breakfast, lunch or snack but my favourite is the full English when they do it or the bacon and egg bap with hash browns which are simply gorgeous ?? A definite cafe to put on the list ??

We went to The Dining Room on Saturday for a Birthday lunch. It was a wonderful lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive. We didn't feel rushed and this was gratefully received as we were chatting lots abd taking our time with the menu. Lots of lovely hot food choices, not sure regarding the previous review.... We had burger with fries, quiche and salad, scampi and fries and sausages with mash. There were additional choices we were also tempted in having....salmon fish chip or baked goats cheese. We all had different puddings too which were equally as delicious. Also must mention the freshly made bread that we were given to start with, yum yum.

A super little place where we have enjoyed coffee and cake or a sandwich many times. On this visit we had lunch and it was somewhat disappointing and very expensive. It is a cafe not a restaurant and £8.95 for soup is the most expensive I have ever seen. The turkey sandwich was pushing £13 and was bland and fries almost £4. Hot offering was just scampi and burger. Would certainly return but not for lunch when hungry.

Enjoyed a morning coffee, toast and jam. My wife had a lovely hot chocolate and really enjoyed her teacake.

If we could give this restaurant a 10 star, we would!.. With excellent customer service topped by a 10/10 bacon sandwich, the boys and I were very impressed by our overall visit to The Dining Room. With plenty of seating and space to accommodate our bikes, this has to be our favourite place to stop with or without the bikes! We had a lovely brew with a unreal, surely homemade brownie which went down a treat! Lovely appearance, fresh signage, warm and friendly staff.. what more can you ask for.

We had a lovely breakfast of bacon and sausage sandwiches. The staff were very welcoming. At first I was worried because it’s decorating so lovely inside but children are definitely welcome here.

Stopped of in Boroughbridge for lunch and were so lucky to stumble across this place. Lovely setting and service and exceptionally good food at fair prices. Highly recommended.

Needing to break our trip north we turned off the A1 to this delightful town to find this lovely restaurant. We had a very pleasant lunch in the courtyard. The quiche with salad was very good.

This was the best food I have eaten for a long time! Quiche with salad has never been this good! Perfect !

We came across Chris and Lisa and their wonderful food during the lockdown period, when we started ordering from their "dine at home" menu. We've also enjoyed eating in the garden since things have opened up, but we are still regulars for the "dine at home". Everything is freshly made, the fish dishes are fabulous and my wife counts the quiche pastry as the best she has tasted. All in all it's an absolute jewel, food is great, owners and staff are very friendly, we cannot recommend this place highly enough.

The is breakfast and lunch venue now, as it does not open in the evening. The menu is expensive but the food is high quality, and wine is available by the glass. I am not personally keen on the decor inside but the garden area is superb for outdoor dining. The garden is quite sheltered and there are plenty of canopies to protect you from the odd shower. Highly recommend for a delicious brunch or lunch.

Stopped for Lunch , super food, & service and looked after our dogs on the terrace even though the weather was atrocious, Was very surprised by the last review as even in our opinion this is not a suitable establishment for a group of wet through cyclists! We are looking forward to our next visit hopefully with sunshine.

Arrived in the rain looking for coffee and cake. Owner banged on the window pointing and shouting not to lean the bike on wall. Tried to walk up ally out of rain rain to rear of building but a woman came came out shouting again. Told us that we were not allowed to come in with wet shoes as would ‘tear up the floor’. Best thing was a very approachable place a few doors down. Go there instead & avoid the miserable owners. I suspect that’s why the place was empty.
