Small but that’s understandable given the location. Food were class. Generous slices of black pudding

Staff were extremely rude and condescending. No customer service.

Had some great breakfast here over the weekend. The service was a bit slow, but the food was great! The fry up was solid and the waffles were great.

Jorvic Googled "best breakfast near me" and this came up. Paulicarus says it was an inspired decision. Both had the meaty full English. Easily one of the best ever and maybe the best. They use local farm suppliers. Excellent sausage, bacon, black pudding, eggs and toast. Throw in beans, tomato and mushroom for £11. Non stop trade on our visit. Super taste in 60' and 70' music! A cosy place. Hope to be back soon.

Staff were great, accommodated a party of 6, always busy and buzzing. They accommodate gluten free which is great (bake their own bread) - no hash browns unfortunately which is a little strange for a classic brunch spot. Don't expect anything flash, just good honest grub.

I am from Singapore and was visiting York with my family of 9. Stayed at the Airbnb at Nunnery Lane and the Pig and Pastry was a short walk away.Excellent breakfast - bacon, eggs, almond croissant, coffee and hot chocolate. Kept our tummies warm and happy. Service was excellent, made you feel like family.
