My mum and I had nuggets and chips here while we were waiting for our coach back to North Wales. The owner was very friendly and the food was just what we needed! If we are ever in York again, we would definitely come back here!!

Worst fish and chips in York easy terrible service
It is fish&chips take away with tables inside (first floor). Lovely fish in crispy batter with chips and mushy peas topped with tartare sauce made a good ending to a nice day. Charming gentleman helped us to make sure choice and delivered food straight to the table upstairs.P.S. Toilet was clean and tidy.

There are plenty of 5 star reviews so maybe I caught them on a bad night but my experience was really disappointing. The fish was so so. The chips really greasy and the scampi card board like and I paid for some mushy peas which were left off my order. Suffice it to say that I won’t be returning.
