Discovered yum-yums here - they are really

Bought quite a few items from Thomas the baker a few weeks ago. When we arrived home the 2 date and walnut scones were burnt and inedible. Ended up throwing them away. I have emailed them twice and they have completely ignored me. What a waste of money.

Best deal going. Delicious scones and pastries at reasonable prices. Also good sandwiches and meat pies. Had a danish and a fruit scone filled with cream and fresh strawberries for 2.60 BP. We paid 16BP for two coffees two scones with butter and jam.

Sick to death of going in here to find the shelves empty even by 1pm. The staff are pretty good at ignoring you aswell. I use the Easingwold Thomas’ frequently and it is 100% better. Absolute Shambles Tang Hall.

The queues out of the door are testament to how great this bakery shop is. Generously filled delicious sandwiches, gorgeous cakes, and many local delicacies, breads pies and sausage rolls grace their shelves. The ladies in there are excellent, quick to serve and always friendly. A wee bit pricey maybe? But for us we are willing to pay because it’s so darn good. Going for supplies this morning for our long car trip back home! We’ll be back soon! Thank you all.

I have not been here it’s just to say I think their cheese scones available in the high street shops are the best tasting , better than the other pretty famous high street shop with an & in their name ! Theirs are bland and boring , the only negative for Thomas is they are not uniform in the times of baking and some are considered over cooked. , to me !’

Ordered 2x sausage sandwich @ £3.40. Total £6.80. Gave the male staff member 80p in change then £5 coins. Whilst making up another pound in change in my hand he then said I owed another £2. . On questioning him he was adamant he was right. Useless. Overcharged or he’s on the fiddle

Ended up here mainly through chance, as a nearby cafe I'd planned to visit was full. This place offered a good selection; the croissants and baguette were okay. Friendly staff and quick service.

Witnessed a group of special needs children from the local school with their TA’s refused a seat because other ‘customers’ would not be able to come in, disgusting behaviour!!!! Lady was rude and vile

Went in to buy a few cakes and ended up with a full bag. The cobs are fresh and delicious and packed with filling and the cakes are some of the nicest I’ve eaten. I think if we had discovered this before our last day we would have visited a lot more.

Fantastic little find whilst visiting York. Had the most amazing cherry Bakewell buns. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, great food.

Not sure of the name but there is a guy who works there with facial hair. He was nothing but rude and impolite and on top of that he still didn't even get what I wanted so he shouldn't be working with people
