Really gorgeous tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere. Service was top notch and I felt they couldn't do enough for us. Really good. We would definitely be back again next time we are in the area. Best experience I've had in a restaurant in a long time.

A very warm atmosphere, lovely, great table. Waiter was lovely and helpful. Went for 2 for 1 cocktails just before 7pm so we had to have 2 quick ones each, the Vanilla & Passionfruit Mojito were lovely. The food was delicious and the waiter gave good recommendations. Loved the trini doubles but I have them every time. Also we shared prawns which were amazing. Salmon was well cooked and different. I would've liked a bigger portion of slaw!

Took my daughter for her 18th birthday meal. Food was great staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Cocktails were beautiful. thank you to the staff for making it such a good experience.

Excellent lunchtime visit to Turtle Bay as a family with young children. Childrens colouring in was available on our visit which was really nice. Spacious restaurant to get the buggy through, high chairs and baby change. Really good service and very tasty food! Cocktails are delicious! Would recommend.

Yet again another fab visit to yorks turtle bay !! Considering quite for January the place was warm and welcoming !!! Cocktail’s on par !! Food fab hot and tasty Be back soon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very disappointed with the quality of food here. It was poor to say the least. One starter, saltfish fritters was so bad it was inedible. The mains weren't much better either. Salmon with ' crispy' skin wasn't crisp at all. But I do have to say that the staff are fantastic. Nothing is too much trouble and are very friendly. Shame the food isn't of the same standard.

I wish this was a higher rating review because the food we had was amazing. I would highly recommend the chilli squid and the Monday chicken. The chefs did a great job so would like to give them the recognition they deserve. Unfortunately the waiting staff are the reason for the lower rating. We arrived and were seated relatively quickly and told the name of our waitress who we never saw for at least 15 minutes. We were at our table with no drinks and no sign of anyone coming to serve us. Staff were walking around clearing tables not making any eye contact with tables around them. Ensuring your guests are attended to first should be prioritised. Especially in the lead up to Christmas when people are more willing to tip more. We eventually got our drinks and ordered from the 3 course set menu. Drinks arrived quite quickly and we really enjoyed the candy sour cocktail. We waited a further 30 minutes for our starters to come. Finished and waited over 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared, and again a very long wait between starters being taken and our main meals coming out of the kitchen and the same wait for puddings. In all we were at our table for almost 3 hours. The place was really cold as well, one of our group sat with her scarf on. The overall lack of service from front of house really let our visit down.

Great venue and near to Las Iguanas - so if you like 241 cocktails there's two decent places literally next to each other. Had the most amazing beach blonde cocktail. Only criticism is that they stop doing 241 at 7pm.
Server Samm is amazing, food okay. This guy worked his socks off when we were there, and he seemed to be the only visible member of staff there!! Whatever they pay him isn't enough.

Went here as a group of 7, the food was nice, the drinks were lovely. We were sat right next to the door and it was freezing, we left our coats on, we couldn't be moved as it was fully booked but it was to cold to be enjoyable, we ate and left, went to a warmer pub.

Lovely waitresses, nice mocktails, poor food. The ‘jerk chicken’ I had was a tiny breast very dry and tasteless, my husband loves curried goat, of which he’s had many but this was the worst he’s ever had, that also was tasteless. It was very disappointing to say the least, all I can say is if you’re after authentic Caribbean food, give this place a wide berth.

Very similar experience to the other negative reviews unfortunately, we had a beyond miserable waitress who is definitely in the wrong job. I had 4 martinis in just over 1.5 hours (that we were made to pretty much beg for), we were told 15 mins before the end that we were coming to the end of our brunch and we were given the bill, we asked for another round (there was only 3 of us), to then be told no it’s too late. At this point we asked for the manager for the second time (first time we were told no she would not come to speak to us as she was too busy), the manager then came over, I explained the situation, she could not have done more for us, she was very understanding, personable and arranged extra drinks/time to make up for the 25 mins we were waiting for our first drinks. We also asked for a new person to order from, again the service was then brilliant, she was so happy and friendly. I can’t give anymore stars as the whole brunch was tainted by the poor service and rude member of staff for the majority. I’m also against the “All drinks must be gone before you can order again” rule, we all drink at different rates and some larger than others , we found ourselves rushing to finish as one person was ready, for us all to wait 30 mins for the next one! Having visited Turtle Bay in Leeds, York branch need to get some training from their staff as they’re brilliant. Have never been made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable when out before :-(

Went for bottomless brunch waste of time and money drinks took ages to come when we got them couldn't taste any alcohol in them and then was told when we had 20 minute left that we couldn't order any more drinks they obviously dont understand bottomless brunch and also be aware of the service charge they put on without asking.have been to Birmingham alot of times and that is amazing .
