Very sad we’ve been to the green man before and it’s been amazing ,,, this time not so much greeted evenly at the door you g lad comes to see us wanders off wife asked should we follow you ,… oh yeah that’s right sit fir food get drinks order in all good … starters very nice … order main course most of menu un available ,,, oh well it happens so order the chicken two ways looked good rice good then started eating a breat look down noticed its pink inside send back didn’t make a fuss by this time wife’s eaten hers … we’d also Orderd garlic bread didn’t turn up asked oh yes I’ll sort that still never came then asked did I want my meal replaced ????? Um yeah waited too long asked for bill manager comes comps our mains and proceeds to tell me how chicken can have red veins inside wtf ,,,, it wasn’t cooked but please do t insult my intelligence sad as it used to be brilliant won’t be going back again

Would be able to give a review however was turned away. Checked in to the premier inn next door and thought time for some food went down to the pub walked in to a very empty pub us all thinking we’ll get table no problem. But no got told taking no walk ins so we went out and online and booked a table for 15 minutes time. Went back in said we’d booked a table for 15 minutes so we’ll have a beer first to then be told by the bartender no sorry I really don’t think we can get you in. Fair enough after saying no walk ins but then when you use the website specifically for booking a table to then be turned away was a joke. Was even worse it was a Saturday night, pub wasn’t busy and it’s next to a premier inn.

Had to Pay £10 to make a Reservation for Evening Meal on Mother’s Day for 9pm.Chris called past 8pm and said that if we (couple) aren’t seated before 20:30 that CANNOT Have ANY FOOD!!We were driving up from London in bad weather!!and Couldn’t make it before 20:30; (that’s why we booked for 9pm!!).We were Left HUNGRY and ANGRY!!
Tried it for dinner with my partner, and the place was empty.Was told it would be 45 minute wait so we got a drink. We asked if we could sit at a table in the bar area that had dirty plates and was told yes. We expected that the plate would be cleared but instead was left with them. While staff talked to each other at the bar. We then waited over an hour at this table to be seated in a place that was empty to be told we could sit where we had been for an hour with the dirty dishes.We ordered, and it still took 45 minutes to get our food, which we got in stages. When ordering a side, you expect it to come with your main not 15 minutes later after asking for a second time where it was.Their restaurant was quarter full if that, and they were struggling. I would feel sorry for their customer waiting it they were full.We won't be back

We enjoyed a mothers day meal here - excellent food and portion sizes for a reasonable price.I have driven past so many times and thought "I should go there one day". So, I did.If you think the same as me, then give it a go!

I have been here before and always had a good experience. However, this time, I had to return my starter as it was cold. The main course was no better. The staff were still great. I will visit again but only for drinks.
Went for a mother's day meal was told they were short staffed. We were only offered a set menu. Waited an hour for the starters and only got them when we asked. Were told the delay was due to 2 deep fat fryers going up in flames. Main meal came 30 or so mins later. Waited 45 mins for dessert we reminded them 3 times about this and then told them not to bother 4 hours after arriving and telling us they didn't have sundae dishes. They gave us the meal for free in the end due to the appalling service. The food we received was good but not for such a long wait.

Stopped in for breakfast on our way to Silverstone RC.Breakfast was really bad, eggs under cooked, no tomato and two very small scraps of bread(not slices).An experience never to be repeated....

Big Big disappointment. Arrived for a booked table which we waited half an hour. We weren't asked for a drink order at the tables around us were full of dirty plates. We were also told that half the menu wasn't available. We got up and left with no apology. Would definitely not recommend.

Lovely cosy pub with good food and service. Passed this pub on the A43 hundreds of times over the years and wish we hadn't waited so long to stop by.
