Our first pub stop but won’t be our last if they’re all as good as this! Phil greeted us as friends and showed us where to park, grass too wet so we were on hard standing. Food was fantastic, plenty of it, great value and proper home cooked. Beautiful village to stroll around and friendly locals to chat with. A great experience. We will be back!

Met up with family, and were able to park up our motorhome overnight. We had a great lunch and a fun memorable evening meal with excellent ale. Can highly recommend the whitebait, fish n chips, steak and peppercorn sauce and their syrup pudding and bread and butter pudding…. Thank you, we’ll be back.

Food was fantastic and owners were great. Atmosphere was great too. Plenty of room to park motorhome plus electric. Toilets were all that let it down. Definitely go back though.

Visited last night for our Christmas Dinner. The food was brilliant, plenty of it and very tasty. Table was very well decorated. Phil and his staff worked very hard. Very homely. Highly recommend.

We stayed for one night and enjoyed good freshly cooked pub food at a reasonable price..,, good choice of beers and a very Motorhome friendly landlord… It is quite busy so make sure you call to book a table and parking….

A friendly, country pub. The meal's we had we're delious. You need to book. Thks to Liz. The toilets need a few hundred £ s spending on them. Or demolish and re build them. Would eat there again. Thank you.

Stopped here off the A43 when driving from the south coast to Peterborough. It's not far at all, easy to get to and is dog friendly. We got there 15 minutes before the kitchen closed for the afternoon break, but we weren't made to feel hurried. With our large dog, we could sit in the gardens or bar area. Two lots of locals offered to swap seats with us to give us a bigger table for food as the bar area was quite full. Such a friendly, proper local. Everyone made us feel so welcome and a part of the community. The landlord made a fuss of the dog and the landlady couldn't have been more helpful with our order. The food was good pub food, cooked perfectly and delivered just as we'd asked for ( one of our party was a fussy eater). I can't recommend this place highly enough, a real gem! I also noticed that they had parking suitable for motorhomes. Thanks for giving us an oasis in the middle of a long journey.

Very interesting pub. Plenty of space to stay in a motorhome for free. Great food and well kept ales.
