We have been for a Friday evening meal and a Sunday lunch. Could not fault either visit. The service was friendly and efficient. The food on both occasions was amazing with a choice to suit every-one.

From the moment you step in, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere.Lovely hearty food and the wine list was equally impressive, offering a fantastic selection. We also appreciated the specials menu, which featured a variety of unique dishes.Aside from the outstanding food and drinks, the atmosphere of the pub was calm and welcoming, reminiscent of a cozy country inn.

We called in last minute and although busy they kindly found us a table. The landlord and the staff were so friendly. All of the food was amazing including the complementary bread that had been baked on site that morning. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for high quality food and a welcoming atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, good service and a menu that made decision making a challenge as there were so many things we wanted to try!Food was really well prepared, the fish was fresh and full of flavour and the locally sourced beef was a hit . Wow - this place is AMAZING! It is unpretentious, friendly and the food is absolutely top notch. I am a well travelled 65 year old, and the meal I had is well & truly in my top 10 ! Great service too.

Can’t say enough positive things about this pub. Seasonal menu and thoughtfully procured, high quality ingredients. The food is fantastic as is the service and ambience. The food photos speak for themselves but the flavours, presentation and portion sizes were spot on and the set menu is excellent value for money. We planned to go for a walk in the woods nearby after lunch but opted for coffee by the cozy fire instead. Lucky locals having this rare gem on their doorstep! I live over an hour away but I’ve already booked my next visit ?
