First of all when we walked in wasn’t treated well by a blonde woman who made the impression that us being there was a chore, the food was brought out either well done or under cooked no in between !!! My 80 year old mum felt u comfortable and wanted to leave! Was not impressed ?

Chose to meet a relative from the Midlands at this pub with me coming up from Essex. Checked the website which showed that they were doing Food on a Tuesday and rang up a couple of times on the preceding Saturday to make sure but nobody answered the phone. Made the trip naïvely thinking that the website and views on TripAdvisor would indicate a reliable pub. How wrong I was! I was told that there is no food on a Tuesday, it is a very recent move and they have not had time to set up the website but at 12 o’clock on a Saturday they are apparently so busy they do not have time to answer the phone. Yeah, sure… ended up having to eat at a local poxy garden centre

Great little pub for a motorhome stopover, though car park not very big. The staff and local customers really pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately food wasn't served the night we stopped, but will certainly stay again when in area.

Have relatives in village. Came in here early evening. Maybe a dozen other customers. Friendly welcome. Not too hot or stuffy despite high temperatures outside. Enjoyed a couple of good pints. Other customers drew us into their conversation.Affable bunch. Works well as a village pub and is evidently a social focus.

Service and food was fantastic …… second time we’ve eaten there and it deserves a review …… ideally you need to book in advanced as it gets very busy but the service isn’t affected but this ……. Sunday roast is brilliant and there’s plenty of it with a good range of veggies ……. Only downside is the menu for those who are veggie is very limited indeed …… great place to eat big well done
