We were delighted to spot this pub on our way to Creaton and that it was open. The weather was awful so we were grateful to get inside into a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The lunch menu was amazing and the portion sizes very generous-so many lovely choices on the dessert menu but we were both too full after our main courses.Lovely staff.Huge carpark.I understand that you can stay at The Red Lion; certainly something I would do if I were in the area again.

Came here today at 7 mins past 2 and the young girl on the bar said it was o.k to order food we ordered drinks ,then I take it was the landlady approached the young girl in front of us and said there is no food the kitchen is closed it finished at 2,the landlady didn't even speak to us and we were standing right next to her so rude,food was still being cooked and being served as were desserts .

Stopped off on the way home for lunch, and so glad I did. Probably the best steak pie I've eaten anywhere. I'd travel back here (I live an hour away) for the food

The service was first class the girls who waited on us were superb. The 3 meals were all exceptional. The atmosphere wonderful. We were told it was the best place in the shire…. I now am convinced.The complimentary onion glasses were fantastiche!
Food & drinks: Excellent menu with variety of choices including gf. Service behind bar and d at table very good. If you are eating you leave ‘full’ and thinking about when you come again because if you live fairly locally you will …. And if you don’t you will think it worth the trip. Highly recommend

Visited the Red Lion on our way to see Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour on Birmingham. We booked for lunch in advance and were very pleased to find that staff were fully prepared for our visit as my friend was in a mobility scooter. The table was easily accessible and perfectly situated. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed and the food was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend and will visit again for sure. This was a special fun weekend away for us both and our lunch at the Red Lion certainly contributed to it being a great success. Strictly was pretty amazing too!!
