A lovely cafe with great ambience and very friendly, attentive staff. A great selection of dairy free options - ideal for those with allergies. Delicious coffee and cake, thank you.

Love this place, food is lovely, staff very attentive, well worth a visit. Have had an afternoon tea and a meal for a Christmas get together, both times the food was amazing. A nice choice of food and the cakes are amazing! Can’t wait till my next visit.

This was an adequate visit to this pleasant cafe. The service was good friendly and attentive . Sadly the food could only be described as average. We had one fish pie which was not great and apparently lacking in fish. I had sausages which were not that tasty and served with a rather lumpy mash and assorted veg which were lukewarm warm. They have done much better on previous visits so maybe it was just a bad day. They also got drinks order wrong.

I visited 1867 yesterday with a group of friends for a baby shower. We had the afternoon tea which was very nicely presented and tasted delicious. The team were very attentive and looked after us well, Jackie was really friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our afternoon a lovely one.

Eight friends gathered together for an afternoon tea and we were not disappointed! The sandwiches were freshly made with good fillings - no curled up edges here! The scones were equally delicious with a plentiful amount of jam and clotted cream. There was also a varied selection of cakes which were also very fresh and not bought in. The macarons were especially delicious. We were offered refills of our tea or filter coffee. Waiting staff were pleasant and attentive. All round a very pleasant experience. Thank you.

There are not many places in the Northampton area that my husband and I have not been for coffee and a cake - it’s our thing on a Saturday. We were very surprised at the price of the cakes which we both thought were expensive and average. My daughter and I shared a slice of lemon meringue as I was not prepared to pay £15 for three cakes. My latte coffee was pleasant but with the froth only two thirds full in an average size cup thus not ending up value for money. My husband asked if the Eccles cake was also £4.95 and the waitress said yes, everything the same price. We were extremely disappointed and felt not good value at all.

Visited today with several friends for lunch. Strange in that we were asked to pre- order over a week before we were due. I know it’s pretty busy , but. We all put our order’s through after looking at the online menu. Which is out of date as there’s been a price increase which hasn’t been updated on the website. Food is pretty good but expensive. £12.95 for a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with salad garnish and crisps. Service was quite average, nothing special, not friendly, but not unfriendly. Bit of a shock at the end when we realised they’d added 12.5% to the bill because there was 8 of us. I’d have thought they would be grateful to have what after all is a small party, therefore no tip today. And what a challenge at the till as we wanted to pay separately, you’d have thought they’d never operated a till before. All in all good food, expensive, two courses plus the add on was nearly £21.00. Good pub in hillmorton gives two courses for £10 and lovely food together with a loyalty card. Service average.

We went here for afternoon tea. The cafe is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The afternoon tea however was a huge disappointment. The cakes and scones were very dry and the overall experience was not worth the money. You would have a much better meal just ordering off of the menu.

Nice place, expecting good things. Very bland jacket with cheese & beans - no butter & no flavour sadly. Chilli jacket - chilli very thin with no substance to it. Shame because it’s a nice place but food definitely needs attention. They have a captive audience & it’s not cheap to eat there either.

Fabulous cafe, delicious food at reasonable prices, caters for all tastes and serves yummy cakes too. Staff very friendly and helpful, recommend you book a table as this place gets very busy. 5*
