Called at the Mclarnons Ramble Inn last week in Antrim with one of my work friends before I got off this week. Loved this place, the staff were lovely, everything clean, food gorgeous and gluten free options available. Will definitely be calling again to sit at the warmth of the stove

I called to make a booking for the restaurant a few days before we were due to go. Making the booking over the phone was quick and easy. All confirmed with no problems. When arrived we were seated near the open fire, which was nice. The place was quiet for a Friday afternoon, but this suited us as we had our son (Theo) with us, he is only 4 months old and wouldn’t be fond of large, loud crowds. I ordered the burger and my wife ordered fish on chips. Both arrived in good time and were very tasty. The portions were well sized as well. After dinner, Theo needed changed. The facilities were spot on for our needs and all on the same level - which would be suitable for any ability issues. We will be back at the Ramble Inn again for dinner when we are in the area. thanks to all the staff for a good evening and meal.

Stumbled upon this beautiful pub and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, food and experience. My wife choose the chicken curry and I had pie of the day ( chicken & ham). Food and service were excellent. If we weren’t continuing travels through Ireland, I’d return to this place every weekend. Thank you!

Omg .... Food was atrocious. Was in yesterday evening with my good lady and our grand babies. We had roastbeef and peppered chicken , both were like eating plywood . The veg was uncooked cabbage and the roast potatoes were unediable . My grandchildren ordered pizza and chicken goujons. The pizza looked like they used tomato ketchup for the sauce and the goujon was allegedly made from chicken ( not so sure it was ) We couldn't understand how this restaurant was packed if that was the quality of food being served . Also they overcharged us for wat we got .Definitely won't be back again

It has been a long time since I have seen (tasted) food of such a poor quality. The roast beef was like leather & the butterflied chicken fillet was as dry as it could be. My grandson's chicken goujons were something else.... he couldn't eat them. £8 for a kids meal & they don't even get a wee drink with them!! I honestly don't know how this restaurant is 3rd in Antirm? I also got overcharged & when I went back into the restaurant the lady behind the bar just told me "ach those online prices are years old"........thats no excuse!!

Seated only to be told they were very busy and bookings would be prioritised over walk ins , fair enough but a full hour later and still no food , eventually this overcooked offering arrived , chicken as tough as the roast beef they said they didn't have ready , onion rings so dry they disintegrated. A sauce like thick sludge and potatoes that tasted like smash . If your busy tell your customers as they arrive so they can chose whether to wait or not, do not wait until they are seated with a drink ! Used to be good but gone to the dogs !!

Once again, we are regular customers, we were met by friendly efficient staff, served with our drinks and given menus, left to take out time choosing, food was once again delicious and service by Joanne as usual extremely good... Actually we decided what was the point going anywhere else!! Thanks all

Ridiculously expensive for the quality. I ordered Guinness pie and got a bowl of tough meat in watery gravy with thick mash. It was horrible. It cost £16.95 I have included a picture. Sadly both my son and I both ordered it. The goujons were huge again 4 in the plate with a small dish of chips. No side salad dressing nothing £15.95 and finally my husband had Turkey and ham but it was fine. Definitely will not be returning. Staff were pleasant and the restaurant had great character unfortunately the food is why we went. I always feel bad if I leave a poor review but I doubt the owner is concerned considering what he’s charging.

As President, held the Northern Ireland Bowling Associations flag unfurling dinner here.. Excellent food, great staff and owner Dermot could not do enough for us. If you have not checked this lovely inn out already, you should do so. Tom Evans, Antrim Lawn Bowling Club and President Northern Ireland Bowling Association

We enjoyed a fantastic meal here, the staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We had our dog with us and despite being busy they were able to accommodate us ( dogs permitted to stay in the public bar ) I would definitely book in advance particularly if I was taking the dog ? Highly recommended.

Such a treat to have lunch here. Every box was ticked: Location, atmosphere, rustic decor, great looking menu, super friendly staff, warm & clean sitting area. Food was what we came for & this place did not disappoint. Beef & Guinness pie was delicious real heartly, rich lunch. I opted for the open prawn cocktail so fresh, with delicious full od of sun dried tomatoes & the homemade wheaten completed the dish. Thankyou team Rambles..

Stopped off here driving back to Belfast from Bushmills and we weren't disappointed. It's a very old traditional pub, which serves pub grub. The chicken wings were delicious and up there with some of the best i've ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the roast dinner of the day was extremely good.

Not our first visit to this country pub/restaurant/entertainment centre, which is situated on the main Antrim to Ballymena dual-carriageway road, and won't be our last. We attended here on Saturday night for a meal (two couples) followed by dance and entertained by The Stephen Smyth Band. The meals were excellent, hot, plentiful. tasty and the friendly staff service was excellent, couldn't fault it. Bearing in mind we have been before and we have to travel 45 miles to this venue you can guess how good the food is.
