Just ordered food for delivery, it took about an hour and 40minutes to come when it finally came thought I’d be nice.. I was wrong it was all freezing and didn’t even get everything I asked for. Eg. Ordered the pastie supper and got the pastie with about a dozen chips and the mega fry with burnt potato bread and no beans. Very disappointed to say the least.

Extremely poor, won't be going back. Ordered on an ap with an estimated delivery time about 50 minutes later. Once it was 15 minutes past the delivery time I rang the chipshop to get a delivery estimate. I was told the food was just about to leave. It then took another 35 minutes for the delivery to be made (my house is about 10 minutes drive away) so the food (as they obviously are too cheap to invest in heat pads) was luke warm when it arrived. And to honest the food wasn't worth waiting for. The chicken goujon portions were small and the batter on them was weirdly smooth, not a touch on other chip shop goujons around here, which are much larger and have bubbly crispy batter and taste freshly made. I suspect the ones In The Name Of Cod are using are mass produced frozen products. The battered sausages, for some reason, had been cut in half and flattened out to be battered. They tasted (if they tasted of anything) cheap. They were extremely greasy - possibly because they had been riding around in a car for 35 minutes. Again the batter was poor. The order was also wrong, they supplied 2 of the same sauces instead of the combination I had ordered. Having read the reviews on here I didn't feel inclined to ring and complain as previous people don't seem to have received a positive reception. I hope they take this detailed feedback and make a conscious effort to improve their product. At the moment they are way off the pace compared to the local competition.

I would not even give it one star! /--if I made chips like that, I would throw them in the bin! - - they were grey and revolting! /Never ever will order from there again!! - - - took 200 years to deliver as well!!! - - -

Worst chippy I’ve ever had. The chips were grey. Sausages dripping in oil and smelled horrible. Threw most of it away.

Arrived when it was meant to. That's all the good I can say. The driver forgot my drink and when I asked where it was he tried telling me there was no drink, then said he'd get it and come back. The place is now closed and I am still waiting for my Fanta Lemon.Chips were alright, but the star of the show was the fish.Never before have I had brown batter which has not been overcooked. This batter somehow managed it. I can STILL smell the quality of oil in that vat. In all honestly it must have been cooked in 70-80% carbon-polluted oil.All in all, 2/10. I mean.. They made food. That's about it. It was not treated well while cooking, meaning the cook/chef/staff either don't care or are actively trying to serve food that leaves you regretting your night's decisions and wondering if the driver just nicked your drink.

Placed order at half 5, arrived at half 7 late and incorrect order. Not only that food was still hard and cold in the centre so hadn't been cooked properly. Phoned to get the issue resolved and the staff and owner couldn't have been any more arrogant or rude if they tried. Had some banshee screaming in the background that they were definitely cooked and then to have the owner scream on the phobe send it back, to then have him turn up to my door at half 8 , 3 hours after placing the order and taking the food off me and telling me to stick the refund through just eat. Wouldn't go near this place as don't seem to understand manners, good customer service or even how to cook for that matter

I ordered two chips and a battered sausage. It arrived late then a chip was missing. When i rang they said they were busy and they would get it to us. 50 minutes later it still hasn't arrived and I rang and rang they ignored the call then when I rang from a different number they answered straight away. I was told they were busy and had no drivers to deliver. I said it wasn't my fault they got the order wrong she said well I did say sorry and we are busy. You can come pick it up or wait or get a refund. I was so cross I hung up. Will never order again.

Lovely clean wee chipy and a big friendly welcome everytime I'm in. Home made pasties and home made chicken goujons are the best
