We were the only people dining and the service was excellent. We had Stacked Chicken lunch and it was lovely. Meal was still warm when we’d nearly finished - this place knows to serve food on heated plates to keep it warm. Highly recommend this place for lunch.

A big disappointment. This hotel has good architectural features and a wonderful location that seemed to promise a nice stay but the reality was was a huge letdown. Apparently there was a wedding that no one bothered to tell me about when making reservations. Obnoxiously loud music played well past midnight making sleep essentially impossible. I tossed and turned on the lumpy mattress wishing that I didn't have to hear "Country Roads" played so badly that John Denver was turning in his grave. Although there was no bath mat of any kind for the slippery shower room floor, there was a little black curly hair waiting to greet me in the tub, and the tile looked like it needed a thorough deep clean. There were no outlets anywhere near the bed making it difficult to charge my phone. To finish things off, the door did not meet the threshold and the resulting gap let in light and the sounds of drunken guests wandering the hallway. All in all, it was a complete letdown.

Today my Mother and I visited Bangor we decided to take a seat outside and have a bite to eat ...we were greeted by staff member Neil who ensured all was safe , clean and welcoming for us .. We ordered lasange and it was delicous .. we really enjoyed our visit but we very much wanted to recognise Neils service ...its not everyday you get this level of service of care ...Neil is an asset to your establishment .. Thank you Donna

A-OK sums this up pretty well. It was perfect for us as we were on a night out in Bangor and fancied staying over. We got the Carnalea Suite which had 4 single beds and was a nice size and very comfortable. The hotel is ideally located right in the centre of Bangor, and we were able to walk to the destination for our night out in just a few minutes. Parking is available out the front or in the car park behind. The hotel also boasts a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and gym, which we availed of the next day and had great fun! (Pool, and Jacuzzi, not the gym!) It cost us £30 each and that included breakfast (I would definitely skip the breakfast next time as it was disgusting!)

Nelsons Bar at the Marine Court Hotel. What can I say? First off, I used to be a regular there but drifted away to other haunts. Last night I found myself once again stepping through their doors and have to say, I was saddened to see so few patrons inside. A dj was plying their trade with sounds of the 80's, one elderly lady dancing, and a quick glance revealed around 10 others drinking in quiet groups. At 10pm on a Saturday night it was a disappointing and depressing sight, having just come from another establishment which was quite frankly packed to the brim. All in all, it's not a place I would recommend unless you want a quiet evening and to be left in peace.

Have been here for a meal several times before and always really enjoyed the food. I'm working tomorrow so took my mum out tonight instead and we were really looking forward to our meal. We had off the A la carte menu which didnt really have a great choice of dishes. I settled for the Steak (8oz) with Chicken Strips (3 very small strips) and chips, it came out smothered in BBQ sauce which I had assumed would come in a dish on the side or I would have requested this. There was no garnish or veg included and a very small portion of chips and it was £19.95 which I thought was expensive for what I had. Dessert was a choice of pavlova, cheesecake or chocolate cake which you helped yourself to, £4.50 each and wasn't the best. Very disappointed in the food however have to mention how hard the staff worked and how pleasant they were, a credit to the hotel.

Love this hotel .. I've been twice and thoroughly enjoyed myself both times! Once was for my birthday and my friends and I booked the hen party package which included bed and breakfast .. Buffet dinner ... Cocktail class ... Free entry to the nightclub and use of the sauna and pool! Great wee spot - would def go again !

Have stayed here a couple of times and have always enjoyed. The rooms have always been clean, very spacious and comfortable. The location is beautiful right across from Bangor Marina with parking on street in front or a small carpark behind the hotel. The breakfast is delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful and their is always someone there to help if you need anything at all. The bar and club that are attached are both very good. The club on a Saturday was full of a wide range of people. It is hen and stag friendly with DJ Danny Dee playing some old school dance with plenty of drinks offers available. The swimming pool and jacuzzi area is first class. Best way to cure a hangover...swim and a bubbling scorching jacuzzi! Fab...

Not been for a night out but it's decent for the football. Usually a good atmosphere and all your normal beers.

Without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The marine court is not without it's benefits. The rooms are spacious and clean and has an upmarket feel without being too pricey. All that is useless without sleep though. Reception placed me over a wedding function room for two nights in a row. Shouting DJs, screaming people and loud music till all hours. One moment of consideration could have placed the wedding goers near the function room but despite us telling them we had early starts, they placed us in the very closest room. Reception was unsympathetic and unhelpfull which resulted in little to no sleep. I was at a function on the last night. The food was not organized with them not knowing what food to serve and mass produced dry food was the result. If you're coming for a wedding or for the local nightlife then feel fee to chance it. Everyone else, stay away

We decided to stay in Bangor one night and go for a night out during the summer when it's full of tourists. I must say the Marine Court Hotel is simply awesome. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the staff friendly and helpful with nothing being too much effort and the views from the Hotel really are spectacular and make the most of the Marina and coast. There is a club in here so if it's a quiet getaway that you're after then perhaps it's not for you but we wanted to be in the midst of it all and had an absolutely fantastic time! We even made it down for breakfast which was really nice!

One of the most delicious things I've ever had to eat in Northern Ireland was a bowl of mussels in Marine Court Hotel. The white wine and shallot sauce does sound a bit predictable, I grant you, but believe me when I say that it was fantastic. Of course, I've been back since and it was just the same. Gorgeous. My wife and I decided to stay over one weekend night, and to be fair, we were warned that there might be a bit of background noise from the nightclub below. I didn't expect to be lying awake at two in the morning listening to absolutely godawful rave music at apocalyptic volumes. I'm aware that I sound like an old duffer but my report is accurate. So, my advice would be to try this hotel for the cracking restaurant (with gorgeous views over Belfast Lough, incidentally) and bar, you'll not regret it. I'd give the nightclub a miss if you have anything approaching OK taste in music, and only stay over at the weekend if you're hard of hearing, or could sleep through a bombing raid.

I've ate here on several occasions and stayed overnight once. The food was excellent and the service was professional. The sticky toffee pudding at the end was superb! The rooms are clean and provide a good degree of natural light, with windows overlooking the marina at Bangor. There was a TV in the room. The price was around £60-70 for the night. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel, but neither is there anything special to justify the slighter higher price.
