“Excellent Sunday lunch for 3. We all had the slow-cooked beef brisket. It was delicious - as were the potatoes, veg and gravy. We tried the Key Lime tart and Cheesecake - both very tasty. Service was faultless. Brilliant background music too.
We also had a family birthday celebration here last week - 9 people hosted upstairs. All went very smoothly and the staff were amazing.”

“The restaurant from the front looks a bit dilapidated. Inside is a bit better but I think it's definitely time for a refurbish! That said, the meal was really good! We opted to skip the appetizers as most of them were fried. I ordered the salmon and my husband ordered the seabass. We ordered some wine and beer and got side salads with our entrees. The salad were good and simple. Both the fishes were really good. The dishes looked great and tasted super fresh and very well done! We opted against the dessert. The meal overall was very good!”

“Myself and some friends did 2hrs of karaoke on a Saturday night and it was fantastic fun. The staff were very helpful in explaining how it all worked and then we were left to having 2hrs of great fun. We stayed on for drinks until almost sliding, we'll definitely be back to do it again.”

“A great world class dining experience, professional service, expertise and the food as good as I’ve ever had. The photos are representative and every bite was a surprise and delicious. For my next comments keep in mind I’m 72 and 6’4” 218 lbs. The dining room is crowded and I felt squeezed, not claustrophobic but slightly uncomfortable. It was really noisy - granted my hearing is going but I heard very little of what the sommelier was saying (if you go get the wine pairing) and less of the floor staff explanation of the dishes. Maybe museum cards for older foodies? Lastly and I should have said something- I did indicate it was a special occasion and it was missed. Not a big deal however if you’re going to ask then you should follow through.
All in all - great place - no buyers remorse here.”

“This place has been here for a few years now though I’ve never been in it, even though it’s only a few minutes walk from the main Cathedral Quarter.
A little impromptu early dinner over the Halloween pay weekend meant getting into our usual haunts might be tricky…so our horizon was broadened. Seeing Gnostic’s menu got me quite excited, with an excellent pricing profile to boot.
Quite a small bar downstairs, but not claustrophobic, we had a cocktail there and then moved upstairs. We opted for 4 plates over 2 courses and a side of grilled baby gem. Each plate really was excellent, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. Our waiter was very friendly & efficient, the place was filling up as we were leaving but we weren’t hurried off our table.
I would strongly recommend Gnostic as somewhere just that little bit different, and we will certainly be returning.”
