On holiday in Belfast this was the nearest pub to where we stayed. What a pleasant surprise. The locals and staff made us all really welcome, we'll definitely go back there on our next visit.

This is a small loyalist bar with plenty of union jack flags and UDF memorials inside. The range of drinks is fairly limited but the service was friendly. When we visited it was pretty quiet (3-4 customers).Despite the paraphernalia (and Michael Hinney's comments below) we had no trouble - but being Australian may have helped.

Taking the train from Dublin, I walked past here on the way into the city. It looks like the kind of place you'd get murdered in if you went in with a southern accent. You'd probably get murdered if you went in with a northern accent. In fact, you could go in festooned in Union Jacks and wearing a plastic hat with "For God, The Union And King Billy" written on it, and probably still get murdered for not being Unionist enough. I didn't go in.
