I ordered a starter of fried squids, a main of lamb boxty, a herbal tea, and a dessert of apple and blueberry crumble. What’s good: Overall the food was great, tasting very Irish. The boxty is full of meat. The crumble is crunchy. What’s not okay: The (free) water tasted like chlorine so I had to have a tea. The tea had no flavor. Squid a bit too sour.

In order to try authentic Irish dishes, I came to this restaurant. All I ordered as show in the photo: seafood pan boxty, pork sausages and a coke. Pan Boxty is a classic Irish dish that tastes pretty good. It is creamy while still retaining the original flavor of the ingredients. The sausage should be smoked. Although it is meat sausage and served with cheese mashed potatoes, it is well seasoned and does not taste too greasy. All in all, this restaurant is good and worth visiting again. The bill totally is £30.20.

4 of us dined here tonight, 3 of us had a wonderful night, service excellent, food tremendous. Sadly one of us ordered a main course that wasn't explained properly and was disappointed. OK, we accept that we should have asked for a better description, our fault. All we can say is when in Rome, ask the Romans.Highly recommended Holohan's, lovely people, very comfortable and quality food. Thank you.

A quick and quiet walk from our Hotel. The service was delightful! The food was absolutely perfect, portion size is generous and prices are very fair. The decor is precious as well.

Loved, this place, delicious local food and exemplary service. I really enjoyed my Pan Boxty and it was more filling than I had expected. Also would recommend the chocolate and guiness mousse, delicious. Advise booking as it is very popular and I understand why.

Pleasant enough, nice ambience. Food was very tasty and very attentive to food intolerances. Steak could have been a little warmer.

Loved this place, staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was great. I got the smoked salmon starter, ham hock boxty as my main and a mince pie for dessert, and I highly recommend all of them. Will definitely visit again in the future

Just wonderful! We dined as a party of 9 today. Kids catered for with a great kids menu and colouring pencils and picture sheets. Beautiful food. Beautiful and attentive service from wonderful staff. The email to confirm the booking and check from the owner if we had any requirements was really thoughtful. Such a beautiful setting. Between us all we had fish and chips; various Boxty dishes, soup of the day and shepards pie. Everyone loved their meal. The sticky toffee pudding was beautiful. This place is just perfection with customer service and beautiful food. I haven’t found a better restaurant in Belfast for food or service. Credit to the waiting staff and chefs there. Thanks for being so lovely to my kids too! So glad I picked Holohons for today for what was a special day for us. You really made it for us by making everything so perfect- great spotKid-friendliness: Brilliant welcoming staff for small people. The restaurant caters well for children with their menu and colouring pencils and printed pages to keep them entertained which allowed us adults to catch up whilst they were happily entertained

Great value for money. Lovely, welcoming service. Even though the menu is a bit limited and beef in my boxty was a bit chewy we’ll definitely be back.

Trip to Belfast, and we had pre-booked a meal here. I think you'll have to book as it was very busy. Everything about it was excellent. Would 100% return. The staff were generous with their knowledge of the area, the food was authentic Irish fayre and their was a lovely

4 of us dined on Saturday 20th January. We had 2 starters between the 4 of us, the goats cheese & breads. They were nice. We had 2 seafood & 1 beef boxty and salmon which were lovely. We then had a sticky toffee pudding & lemon cake, the lemon cake was a bit soft & disappointing. It was our 1st visit to H.P & it was quite enjoyable.

Fairly small, homely restaurant with a real cosy feel when we visited on a cold winter’s evening. Really pleasant, personal service. Three of us went for their speciality, Pan Boxty, to try something different and really enjoyed it. One went for the chicken chasseur and thought it was the best she’d had. Would recommend.
