The menu wasn't great and the food was bland overall. Waiting staff mixed up drinks orders (there were only 3 of us) and one of the main courses. We won't be rushing back.

We had a great experience in Made in Belfast pre-pandemic and looked forward to visiting with friends. Unfortunately, our recent visit on a Saturday evening with a group of 4 was incredibly disappointing in terms of service, value and food.On arrival, we asked to order drinks and food together as we were quite hungry, but we were sharply informed that wouldn't be possible which was odd. We then ordered as directed and we waited 30 minutes for starters to arrive.Once the starters - which were fine but nothing special - were cleared, we attempted to get the attention of any of the waiters to order drinks but it was impossible to get their attention. It wasn't a large restaurant so it felt as if we were being ignored by the staff who were on duty. Also, it didn't seem as if there was a lack of staff - which would have been understandable - but that it was badly managed as there were waiters on the floor who avoided our efforts to grab their attention continuously.When the mains arrived, it was very evident that they had been under a heat lamp for a long period of time as the sauces had congealed on the plate. My steak was incredibly tough on the outside but yet very medium on the inside. Another of the party ordered the cauliflower dish and it was very basic for the price of the dish.We would have ordered desert/cocktails after our main but we were waiting 20 minutes for the plates to be cleared after we had finished eating and drinking, so we decided to move on to a bar. We had to ask for the bill twice and eventually we went up to the front desk to settle before leaving.We were very disappointed after such an enjoyable previous visit, and we won't be recommending to friends.

The waitress was so rude, he shouted at us for using the toilet before sitting at our table so we decided to not sit down at all. As he wasn’t very welcoming.

What amazing food and fantastic atmosphere! Are server Lucy is a credit to the restaurant. And are barman Kian was so chatty and funny. And great at making our cocktails. Can’t wait for our next visit 10/10 guys

Came here for dinner with friends and wow food was amazing!! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Can’t wait to be hungry again.

What a disappointment. Walked in and after we got seated member of staff went to sit down not to far away and continued to complain on a phone about other staff/her workplace to someone that we obviously interrupted when we walked in. There is like 5/6 things on a menu. Prices are ridiculous for what you get. Food was meh. Ruined my husband birthday dinner as we walked out disappointed and ready to get takeaway as I'm pretty sure your local takeaway would have nicer food than what we got. 2 mains and 1 watered down "coctail" end up being £50. Depressing atmosphere, no music and 3 tables in all the restaurant, one of the most awkward and rushed(wanted just to leave asap) dinner we ever had.

Long wait for food, fair enough large order and busy night.Chicken Maryland dish small, Pasta dish was fine but lacked flavour. Fish and chips good. Cheesecake desert TINY, absolutely scandalous to charge £6.50 for a slither of cheesecake.One cocktail had a moulded berry in it. Drink replaced by the barman promptly. I’ve attached a picture of the ‘espresso martini’ ordered. Have to say, one of the worst espresso martinis I’ve ever tasted. Took a big gulp, and couldn’t even drink the rest. Horrid.We spent a pretty penny here with meals for 8 people, drinks, bottles of wine/prosecco/deserts. Fair to say it was not worth it and will know for again. Will not return

This place is amazing!! I was very hasty at first when looking at some reviews but am so glad we came!! A table of 10 and the service was quick and staff very pleasant!! Meals are a very decent size!!We will be back for sure!! ?

Cracking place just outside the immediate city centre. Well worth going to. Relaxed, intimate, quirky and just chilled. Good easy listening music too :-) good meals and friendly staff with nothing but smiles and warm welcomes.

As a group of 8 we had to pre-order but still waited over an hour for our meals at 6pm. When they did arrive they were so disappointing-dry, over-cooked, lukewarm…. could see into the kitchen and half of them had been under lamps for half an hour. The desserts weren’t any better-runny tiramisu & miniscule portion of cheesecake. Staff were disorganised and disinterested! When queried they took off the £24 service charge off the bill-the very least they could do. We won’t return! Sad, because loved it in the past, along with the quirky decor which has all gone too!!

Went for a meal on Friday night with 4 others. Front of house staff were friendly and busy. Food was very average, but we had known that would likely be the case based on other Tripadvisor reviews. However what we were most disappointed in was how an issue we raised was felt with. Two of us had the Chicken Maryland. Neither was particularly warm so when staff asked how our meal was we did point that out. They immediately lifted our plates and said they would sort it out. Very quickly the meals were returned to us. They had simply been reheated and returned. (as it was so quick I had thought they had been heated in the microwave). We are not convinced that the meals were returned to the correct person so we were not keen to finish a half eaten corn on the cob started by the other person. The next day I raised this with management. Explained the issue, the response not helpful. Said they don't microwave food and would check CCTV and speak to staff and then get back to me. I'm still waiting for a response which seems usual from other negative reviews on TA. Overall very disappointing and won't return.

The service. The food was grand but the service ruined the evening. Smiles and politeness are better than pouts and eye rolls which we got the whole night from 1 particular waiter. I will not be back.
