If you don't make a reservation online, it's impossible to have a table there. Please ensure you proceed to the end until receive an email confirmation. I made a mistake in the first time. The food is great. The seafood is fresh and cooked just right. I really enjoyed the Casserole which has fish, shells, crab, shrimp, etc. I can taste all kinds of seafood in one bowl. The fish and the bread are my favourite. The Crab Claw tastes good but it is not recommended to someone who is in a date... I saw a gentleman having problem with the claws... it may take you an hour to finish it if you want to keep your hands clean!I was in a rush thus I asked the restaurant to serve everything at once. The restaurant showed their flexibility while maintained its great quality.

I went with a group of 6 people, who I would say know food well, and have eaten at this restaurant several times. For a bill of £400, you would expect exceptional food, however, that was far from the case. Honestly, everything we ordered could’ve been cooked better at home or even bought from M&S for better quality. It lacked salt and flavour. If you even think of getting the fish and chips, instead stay home and order from your favourite takeaway! The seafood chowder was bland, and the crabs were far too sweet it tasted like desert. We couldn’t even put a spoon through the stinky toffee pudding. This is the first Google review I have ever done, but as a group that previously loved the mourne seafood bar, we surely won’t be back any time soon.

Enjoyed delicious meal, starters were especially tasty. Disappointingly the restaurant was absolutely freezing to the point us and every other table had to sit in our coats and nothing seemed to be done to address this by the staff - still had a 10% service charge added to the bill despite this. Upstairs room where we ate lacked any sort of atmosphere.

Super delicious and great range of reasonably priced options. Servers were awesome. Try and stay on main floor if you want it livel or upstairs for quieter. Crab claws are quite messy and aot of

Had the chowder and crab claw starters, and lobster special and the squid ink risotto and everything tasted great and very fresh. Loved the music playlist (plenty of 80s hits) and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming and recommended the live music night at Kelly's next-door. Great evening!

Lucked into this place having searched "best seafood". Compelling menu garnished with intelligent alternatives to fish & seafood. Stunning oysters and perfectly cooked whole bream. Blatantly fresh. Crab claws, crevettes, whitebait. Good wine selection and the owner on the floor. A proper family restaurant.

Superb seafood. Well cooked and presented. Nice casual atmosphere. However, on paying the bill, was advised of a 10 percent service charge , which I thought was a bit cheeky. Better if this was clearly pointed out on menu, prior to ordering. However, will defo be back.

The lobster was great! Friendly staff, good service (a little slow due to the number of patrons).

The service, food and ambiance was absolutely fabulous. Really delicious oysters and a perfect fish & chips with a super light and crunchy batter. What topped it off was the chocolate orange espresso martini…epic!!

We had a terrible experience here. I recently had very major surgery which has left me being unable to sit due to a large and very painful wound where my anal sphincter used to be. We booked a table at the Mourne Seafood Bar, in person, and told the gentleman taking the booking that we’d need a table at the side of the room so I could lie down on the bench type seating when we came in for dinner. This was deemed acceptable, so we returned to have food the following afternoon at 5:30pm. I lay on the bench seating propped up on one elbow and explained to the server that I couldn’t sit due to having had surgery a few weeks ago. Again I was assured that this wasn’t a problem. We ordered food and shortly after it had been served I was told that the head chef had told the servers that I couldn’t have my feet up on the bench. This despite the fact that the restaurant was only half occupied at the time and me having removed my shoes. The only alternative suggested involved me sitting up which I currently am unable to do because of the wound on my bottom. In the end I didn’t move my feet and nothing else was said, but the incident made me feel very uncomfortable and unable to finish my food. We finished our drinks as quickly as possible because we no longer felt welcome in the restaurant. Unfortunately I embarrassed myself by making a scene as we left that involved shouting and swearing at the servers which I deeply regret. They had all been very pleasant up to them and I would like to publicly apologise to them here. The request from the head chef though had left me feeling like an unwanted guest. Given that I was only lying down because I’m currently unable to sit, I can only conclude that the head chef actively discriminates against people with disabilities. Hidden in my case, though I’d made my needs very clear to the other staff. I even felt the need to show them my stoma before we left in order to justify myself, which was humiliating to say the least. Our whole evening was ruined by this experience and we won’t ever return to the restaurant. Obviously I can’t recommend the establishment to anyone else.
