My friend and I ordered a curry each. He order peshwari naan and I ordered poppadoms. I ordered a diet coke.The bill came to £50.75!After I paid, one of the waiters came down and said to the guy at the till that I had paid the wrong bill. The guy at the till denied this.Either we got the wrong bill, or this place is too expensive.My food had a long back hair in it and the lamb had a few bones still in. I suppose this mistake can happen anywhere.Once I removed the debris, the curry was OK.

Takeaway online order collection was estimated 45 minutes. I arrived on time to collect and had to wait almost 20 minutes. Food was delicious though.

We had a really good evening. I had met a friend from England staying at Stormont hotel. Brought her here for meal. Never been before. Popdums were crispy with tasty dips. An onion one separate from other 3. Main meals were good. Plenty of chicken and a nice vegetable korma. A liqueur afterwards and a very attentive host waiter. I'll bring my husband back there very soon!

We ordered a delivery of a madras dish and a dupiaza dish. The madras was meant to be hot, but was very mild, sauce just tasted of boiled onions, maybe they forgot to put spice in it, the dupiaza was mild too, more like curry base, it was £36 for two delivery meals and one starter

Taste is perfect like, they ask u how much you want spice..thats good. You can dine in/delivery/takeaway your choice. Space is bit less so so takeaway is better option. Service is good management team is friendly. So place is

My partner and I went for a last minute dinner date and decided to try a local Indian place and picked out this spot in Ballyackamore. The Bangladeshi gentleman who took our orders was a delightful man and he ensured our experience was wonderful throughout. We loved his conversation. We were seated upstairs with no other customers around, but he was very professional and diligent keeping an eye to make sure we were enjoying our time in the restaurant and not being ignored. The food was incredible and the portion sizes were so good we had to take food home (a rarity for me as a 16 stone rugby player) We are looking forward to eating the rest for dinner tomorrow. 10/10 highly recommend

We tried The East Bengal on the spur of the moment and we're delighted by the friendly staff, top notch service and delicious food. The food tasted particularly fresh and surprisingly light for Indian food. Sauces were so nice I ordered a garlic naan half way through our meal. It came quickly and was possibly the nicest I've had: it was light and fluffy on top, crisp underneath. Perfect.
