So many places serve weak, cheap, or simply poor coffee, but the coffee at Cafe Society is well extracted and full-bodied, so we normally have a second cup. Check it out - you won't be disappointed.”

“Lovely staff, coping well after a kid's party. Loaded fries, chicken and sweet chilli sauce was tasty as was the Irish stew, unusually made with mince but worked well and no doubt ideal with kids. Nice walk and great views from the fishing ponds.Parking: Don't turn into the large pretentious house just before The Lakes. Use next entrance up the hill by the trees.”

“Portstewart cafe - excellent quality of good but marred by the lack of plate and cutlery ! It was provided in a cardboard box with wooden knife and fork (not really adequate to the job of cutting up toast - and I had to deconstruct the box to get at it). Only when leaving did I see people eating from real plates and with metal cutlery! What on Earth had we done to deserve that service? Understandable if it was a takeaway - but it wasn’t. But the quality of the food was good - avocado with chilli and feta cheese. I recommend it but best eaten with the correct utensils!”
