Three weeks ago this place was good craic and great food, tonight it was the definition of mediocrity, the food was firstly a little warmer than room temperature. The steak ordered was half fat/gristle and not cooked like asked. My Salt and Chilli chicken tasted more like black bean seasoning, had 9 bits of chicken in the order which is a tad on the skimpy side.Place was packed, only two servers on running around constantly, over booked and understaffed. Seems as if the menu keeps changing as well.Consistency is key in a new restaurant and seems lacking here.Lastly for a place packed with kids they had a few fellas at the bar cursing the whole time they were there at considerable volume, didn't see anyone control their behavior or atleast try to for the sake of everyone dining and trying to enjoy themselves.Honestly quite let down as the precious booking was enough to make me rant and rave about this place to family and friends.

Sadly there was no heating we kept our coats on throughout the meal. Staff were good and they reheated my meal as it was lukewarm. Some of our party wanted a coffee but it wasn't available.

Lovely atmosphere seated by the fire. Grainne was our waitress and she amazing throughout. I love coming to a venue and feeling more than just a number or just a customer. Grainne was so attentive and helpful with my allergies. The food was delicious and generous on portion. The cocktails were fantastic and I am fussy about my brambles!! I will be back and hope grainne is our server with her excellent, professional attitude combined with her welcoming chat making us feel at home. A hidden gem of a venue and a gem of a waitress who deserves a raise!!

Would not recommend for food ,had turkey/ham meal ,sprouts hard ,meal could have been a lot warmer,peppered sauce like flavoured water ,
Dinner here as part of their Black Friday 20% off offer and was very impressed. Plenty of veggie options so much more choice than many other restaurants provide (even a veggie burger option on kids menu). Steak pie was really tender and great flavour. Fluffy jam sponge for dessert was v good. Service excellent throughout too. Just a bit quiet in the dining area was all. Will be back to see the Sunday lunch options. ?

Great staff and love the interior. The vegetarian food is a little bland, I’ve tried a few of the options. The chicken Maryland was a hit! Also, get real whipped cream for your desserts not the cheap squirty cream out of a tin, really off putting and wouldn’t even expect that in a coffee shop never mind a restaurant. I will definitely revisit but really hope the food improves.

Hi folks I have just had my first taste of the Crooked Glen 2.0 & I'm well impressed. Food was excellent, staff were friendly & helpful & the fire was light. The Christmas chip did exactly what it said on the tin. Good luck everyone involved in the new & very welcome addition to the Main Street. It was much needed & missed. See you soon ??

Went for dinner on the opening weekend ( Saturday) a few hiccups with service and my food was just ok ordered the crooked club and the chicken was very dry also could've done with a bit more sauce , partner loved his chicken Maryland though. Reasonably priced, plenty of options and the desserts were 10/10. Hoping the issues will be ironed out over time will 100% be back.
