We where overcharged for our mealsWhich i had to raise after working it out by comparing prices on the board.Got home to find that the order was wrong. And what was named as a chicken burger was more like 2 large chicken goujons. That was on both burgers. The baps where still frozen.1 burger was dressed incorrectly. The chips where hard and undercooked with minimal curry or pepper sauce on either.I understand owners comment on another review stating wholesale prices have increased.50 pence for a sprinkle of cheese seems excessive to say the least. If you are charging high end prices we need to recieve a high end product.Unfortunately you've lost a family of 5 customers that used the service on a regular basis.Food is now over priced and sub standard. Tonight is just the last straw im afraid.

Find Docs is always good in Newcastle, Ardglass and now here. The single cod was golden and crispy with a few chips. Whilst not the biggest I ever got it was adequate and tasty. Around £6.00 is fair price and place very clean.

Bit surprised at negative views. Always found Docs good in Newcastle. Anyway too late for sit in so I ordered a single haddock. I know it takes about 8 minutes to fry a fish so no rush. It came with a scoop of free chips. The chips were not hot but tasted nice. The haddock was fresh and burning hot. I always open the box immediately to let steam out and keep fish crisp. Fish was nice and fresh, but not the biggest I have seen for £6.80. Still I enjoyed it and will be back. It was about 7.45 pm. Place was clean. Staff never shut up and I could hear them talking about shoes constantly. Unprofessional but food good.

Where we were sitting there was a constant banging noise.very dissatisfied with my over priced burger very thin cheap burger inside a BAP wit more Lettuce than meat. Infact a mc donald burger would have been nicer.

Take away cheese burger came with only bun, burger and cheese. No onion, indeed no salad of any kind, nor pickles. I had to ask for sauce. I won’t be back.

Fish was ok chips were basically raw. I ordered a meat pastor burger and was given a homemade pastie burger which was raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. Was sadly disappointed.

Chips tasted like they had been heated up, chicken burger rubbery and scampi overcooked. Everything had been either heated up or over cooked. Docs used to be good. Won't be back for a long time

My wife and I were foreign nurses who arrived in Downpatrick in 2007 and worked for two years there. We always eat fish and chips every week in that place. After three years we moved to England, and a couple of years on we migrated here to the USA. Until now, with so many fish and chips shops we went to in UK and US, we still think that the Docs of Downpatrick are still the best we ever had.
