Visited on a busy Saturday eve. They have Xmas decs up, was just a little early for Xmas in early Nov in my view but that's a minor point. So it's a busy place, we were shown upstairs to bar and waited a while for a drink to arrive. A gin & tonic was ordered, very basic, asked for a slice of lime and literally couldn't believe my eyes when the waitress arrived with it in her hand...yes, in her hand. No gloves, no plate etc just in her bare hand...yuk. The Manager looked really hassled and was giving off to serving/bar staff in front of customers. It looked heated! Our orders were taken in a rushed off hand manner. Food was fair. Steaks hadn't been rested so bled into everything else on the plate. The champ was in scoops just like in School, it was bland not lovely buttery Irish champ. The menu is huge which makes me wonder how much is freshly cooked. It's weird to see chilli beef wrap alongside Thai prawns etc. It was all OK..just.

We love coming here, the food is great and the champagne coladas are incredible! My only note is that the prices seem to have gone up so much recently (more so than anywhere else we frequent) so be prepared for that.

Delicious. I’m a plain and fussy eater and I was able to order from childrens menu and get an adult’s portion with no problems. Man that served us (predicting he’s manager) was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.

On arrival the decor is amazing as it is set in an old church building. We were immediately greeted by a friendly member of staff and shown to the bar were we ordered drinks and chose from a very extensive menu. A short time later we were invited to the dining room and our drinks were carried to the table for us by the waitress. The atmosphere in the dining room was great and there were at least 3 birthday parties and each person was given a rendition of the name day song over the tannoy and a variety of cakes with large sparklers delivered to each table. We chose starters and a main course both of which were delicious. There was a healthy portion, locally sourced produce and all served with professionalism and a smile. There is no doubt I will be back, bringing family and friends and sharing my experience widely. If I have any complaints it is that I was too full to sample any of the desserts on offer, hopefully next time ??

Called in for the Early Bird with 5 adults and 1 child. Excellent service and delicious food. Children's chicken burger and chip meal was a real feast. Adults all enjoyed their meals. Plenty of food, well presented and tasty. Added on desserts and they were lovely too.

Called in to Halo today after finding it on a Google search for a local coffee shop whilst at a funeral in Dungannon. Superb chat and service from the lovely lady in the cafe. Top notch coffee, tea an traybakes and really helpful. Would highly recommend a visit or pitstop here.

Food comes so quickly after ordering, ordered starter of ribs, arrived within 2 minutes.... like warm. Mains were tasty although when we finished we asked for a 10 minute break before ordering desserts. We were asked 4 times in 5 minutes what we would like. We got the feeling they were looking us out asap, decided to leave without ordering a dessert. 40 minute dinner, no relaxation. We have been going to this restaurant regularly for over 20 years, it will be a big ask to get us back.

I booked the viscounts as it was my daughter’s 18th birthday. The staff were attentive during our visit. Chicken supreme was ordered. It was nothing more than a very, very small chicken fillet with some pepper sauce and a few taco onions for 17.95. It was a very expensive chicken fillet. A side order had to be ordered which cost extra. The price of their drink is also much more expensive than other hotels. A very disappointing meal on a special occasion for my daughter.

Went to viscount on Friday night for a birthday party. Haven't been for a long time as soon as we arrived we where sent up stairs where we ordered our meals we where then shown our seats I ordered a streak and champ and mushroom and greens even though each thing was priced separately it didn't work out any more expensive. I ne er tasted a nicer steak and every one else thought there's was tasty.will be back again in April

We have been going to Viscounts for over 20 years and up until this evening had always had a good experience along with good food. Unfortunately this all changed this evening. The service was extremely poor, we were rushed to our table and not given the opportunity to have a drink at the bar, even though we were 15 mins. early for our reservation. The waitress who took our drinks order was rude beyond belief. We were pressed to order starters without even having time to look at the menu, which arrived approx. 2 minutes later obviously having been heated up in the microwave. Again we were rushed to order our main course, which again arrived too soon to have been cooked from fresh. The whole experience was extremely stressful and rushed and felt like we were in a fast food establishment rather than in a quality restaurant. The poor quality of service could have been overlooked if the food was a good standard. The food was not cooked from fresh, heated up and of sub standard quality. I have never written a review before, but after paying over £46 per head for what one of my guests described as " poorer quality than McDonalds" i felt I had to let others know. Come on Viscounts, you can do better than this, We don't have a lot of choice of restaurants in the area, but don't take your customers for granted. I will not be back and will make sure my friends, who would have been loyal customers, know of our experience.

First class food and service! We visited Viscounts this evening for my Sister in Law’s birthday, we had 9 children and 8 adults and nothing was a bother to the staff. The children’s menu was one of the best I’ve seen out, everyone was delighted with their food and the desserts were to die for! Top marks team Viscount! ??
