Trying to find the best fry in Bangor we thought we’d try the Pit Stop. It certainly wasn’t here anyway! On ordering we asked if we could have our tea at time our fry was ready. We were abruptly told we’d have to go back up and get it ourselves? When the fry arrived it didn’t look very appetizing. To start with the fried egg was hard and cold. I think it may have been cooked earlier! The rest of the food on the plate wasn’t very warm either. The tea was hot! A bonus!! I’ve just read some other reviews and I can relate to them. We didn’t enjoy our experience and we won’t be back.

The place always looks lovely and the owner seems very nice but lack of choice for vegetarians and vegans. Elderly family member treated a tad cruelly by a member of staff which put me off .... she clearly is not aware that the elderly are not as 'switched on' as her but anyway..... not for me unfortunately, which is a pity as it looks lovely and the owner clearly has a real eye for detail.

Well let’s start with the owner (I’m assuming he’s the owner because he doesn’t smile and is rude, has grey hair) again so rude, doesn’t smile, makes you feel rush, would tut at you when ordering. One of my friends actually ordered something he didn’t like because he was being rushed, they wouldn’t let my friend take something off her plate that she was allergic to because “it comes as it is” chicken was soggy. The only person that was actually nice to us was the man collecting our plates who had the grey hair. We where also the only people in the que.

Called in for breakfast around 11.30am with family.....was almost tempted to get a lunchtime dinner instead....until I saw the flies resting happily on the freshly set out food (yuck)....so I reverted back to my original option of the full soda as I know its cooked right away and brought out to the table before the flies have time to feast on it.....mind you who knows where the soda has been sitting uncovered ??? Also it would be nice if the windows and glass partitions between seats were cleaned at least once a week as opposed to what looks like once a year as they were filthy......not leaving out the grease marks running down the walls near the door !!! There is also an Asian woman walking around who doesn't smile and not even a hello....she seems to be a table cleaner but when not doing this task could attempt to do a quick clean of the glass partitions at least as she does have a spray and cloth in her hand. We'll just go elsewhere to a nice cafe instead next time.... Dare i mention the staff they could also do with a lesson in friendliness and manners when dealing with the public.....

I brought my family into here for their breakfast, standing in the queue i watched the flies landing on the food i was nearly sick, people dont realise that once a fly lands it vomits on food and thats what gives you a tummy bug, hence we only eat a fry , the glass windows were filthy between the seats, grease running down the walls the place is a disgrace, person walking up and down nothing to do with a tray in her hand spray & cloth, clean some glass in between the seats theres always something to clean. Very disappointed called the fella over about all our eggs were fried hard no yoke, well thats the way we do them we turn are eggs over! Great attitude. Time to clean up your act and get your staff to work harder and learn to wash and clean in a food business. It will be a while before we are back, then some day we will call in and see if your place is any cleaner. You should consider a pull down lid for the front of your food to keep flies out, your food looks nice but i dont want to become ill with food not being covered.

Called for a meal midweek, just after 6pm. Only a few tasteless-looking bits and pieces on offer at the servery. Chose from what they call the “All Day Menu” only to be told it was only for breakfast time. Made a second choice from the same menu (All Day) with the same result. Staff member was disinterested, unhelpful and somewhat rude in that she had nothing to say about what was available. We ate elsewhere - and will do in future!

We had Sunday carvery there a few weeks ago. The food was well cooked and hot when it was brought to our table. Go early as it gets very busy around 1-1.30.
